Pippen wants MJ to take him for a ride in business life like he did in basketball. Scottie wants that luxury like MJ. If he didn't make so many bad business deals he could have great money.

After signing it anyway he wanted to renegotiate his contract and thought if he didn’t play it would hurt the team. That plan failed because the Bulls went on winning without him. Jordan and Rodman was holding it down. So Pippen was only an allstar for 4 times in the Bulls six championship runs.

Regarding the last caller, if you're around here, let me ask you, what more credit does Scottie Pippen deserve? Yes, Chris and Rob did say that they believe Scottie would not have been a top50 (actually top21) players of all time if he hadn't played with Michael, but that does not contradict their statement of what Pippen had actually accomplished in his career that landed him in the top21 all time list. Kawhi, DWade, a lot of great players are ranked below Scottie Pippen in the all time list that are greater player than he was, but he landed on top21 because he has 6 championships. You guys are trying to argue that Scottie Pippen deserve even more? Like what, do you guys really think he should be on the top 15 all time list or top 10 all time list or something? Take Tim Duncan for example, Tony Parker won a FMVP over Timmy in one of their championships, yet when we talk about Spurs dynasty, Tim Duncan is always the first one out of people's mouth, because he was the superstar of that dynasty, not Manu Ginobili, not Tony Parker, but do you see people put them in the top75 list? No. They have every right to be mad, not Scottie freakin Pippen who's the least "underrated" of them all. You could even argue that Pippen was hella overrated cuz he's not greater than DWade. DWade won his own championship before he had another superstar, but because he doesn't have 6 rings he's rated lower. How much more credit does Pippen deserve, until we say that, alright, it's enough, Michael Jordan globalized the NBA and saved a dying league, and made sneakers cool. I saw people talk about Pippen deserved to get paid as much as MJ when MJ was paid 30mil per season for 2 seasons.. but MJ earned the league and Nike billions of dollars, and 30mil is considerably underpaid for his value. He was paid for like 3~4mil per year before his 30mil contract too, come on man.

The one thing that people aren't talking about when they talk about the last dance is the fact that Scottie pippen sat out the first three months of the 1997-98 season. And one could say he only came back because it started to look like the bulls were going to get it done without him which would have completely killed his value! The team started to gel without him. And then what happens in game 6 of the 1998 finals on his first shot attempt? He hurts his back. Leaving Jordan and the rest of the bulls to bring it home. In which case Scotty decides to come back and play. And Michael Jordan and the bulls are essentially playing 4 on 5 because Scotty cannot move and yet they win the game and close out the series in that very game! I love Scottie pippen but you didn't belong on the 1992 dream team. And we all know how you got on that team. I got Scotty in the top 100 players. I never thought he was a top 50 player. When Scottie pippen says anything to the effect that LeBron James is considered Michael Jordan's equal if not Superior there is no credibility towards that because he has gone back and forth over and over and over again. Those last 60 million that you stole playing for Houston and Portland.. Michael Jordan got you those contracts. Because once you got there you did not perform! Just on the basketball court does everyone realize that Scottie pippen actually made 13 million more dollars than Michael Jordan?

Great comment. This is also how i saw it. The first year after michael retired, pippen wasnt the sole reason the bulls won 55 games. The bulls overachieved and wanted to prove they were more than jordans supporting cast. That year horrace grant and bj armstrong were allstars. And they had kukoc who hit several game winners that season. The following year they were not even a playoff team before jordan came back and no one talks about it. During the 97-98 season, i think pippen wanted to show the world that the bulls cannot win without him by missing games. But they eventually started winning and pippens plan would backfire if they won without him. Pippen missed more than 30 games and the bulls still won 60. Then in the last game, game 6 of the finals, pippen hurt his back and could literally do nothing on the court. And jordan still carried the bulls to a win. When he got to play in houston and portland without jordan, he wasnt even great. Pippen wanted to be recognized as a great player so bad that he is willing to sabotage his own team to prove they cant win without him. Now thru his book he is sabotaging mj and phils image which is sad

Would Draymond Green get to be who and what he is thought of today outside of GSW.. would he make 1 all star team. Tayshawn Prince made the USA team would he get any spotlight without being in Detroit. Pip landed on the right team and got all the benefits the large spotlight of MJ casts and he was a beneficiary of that, he even got a shoe deal with Nike...
