I figured it out Schlatt is extremely consistent with how he asks the question, always saying it the same way without fail. "Would you rather have unlimited bacon but no more video games, or games, unlimited games but no games" The fact he never says it any differently shows that his wording is crucial to figuring out a suitable answer. The statement "but no *more* video games" as oppose to "but no games" when matched with the Unlimited Bacon is a crucial part to remember, because the use of "no more" instead of just simply "no" implies that while you cannot acquire any more video games, you would still have all of the games you already owned on top of receiving an unlimited supply of bacon. However his repeated emphasis of "Games, unlimited games but no games" is rather intriguing, the way I interpret his use of wording here implies that while you have access to an unlimited supply of games, you would lose all of your games in the process, also he never states that games is in reference to strictly video games, he only says "games" for the second option in this hypothetical. In a position such as Scott's where he is fortunate enough to have an enormous game selection, it would be more beneficial for him to choose Unlimited Bacon but no more video games as that would supply him with an unlimited source of food and even possibly giving him an opportunity to start a business selling bacon, but also his already extensive library of video games would stay the same, sure he wouldn't be able to buy any more video games but I feel like that isn't the worst loss for someone who makes a lot of content about games from the past. Definitely over analysing this but I wasn't traumatised by English papers and exams for no reason.

There is nothing to figure out. This originally is a mail in question for the machinima show respawn. The person who wrote the question completely screwed up. There is only one correct answer and that's unlimited bacon because if you take the 2nd option you get nothing and aren't allowed to play any video games.

I'VE FIGURED OUT THE ANSWER it's option 2 because when it states "no games" it doesn't specify what kind of games. So say they're actually playing mind games and the question in of itself is a game, well that'd mean picking option 2 "unlimited video games but no games", would essentially end the game. Which means you'd no longer have to give them an answer to their question, and they'll stop asking the question.

I have some thoughts on this. Have you ever played a game so horrendous and thought to yourself “this is not a game” it’s just garbage. So you can have any game you want but it’s only of the select dogshit games that are so bad that you almost can’t even call them a game

This question always accomplishes to determine which guests actually watch the podcast and which one just knows ted and schlatt or charlie

He did rip the line from there, but the actual gag is actually original, as it’s not merely the question, but rather schlatt(and ted’s) response to the question’s answer that make it truly funny. It’s the mindgames the question creates when you make them take it seriously that elevates it. The more confused you can make the guest, the more double-takes you can create, the better.

He missed such a good opportunity to immediately say bacon on the sandwich

To be fair, the way the question is phrased the second time; "Would you rather have unlimited bacon but no video games, or unlimited video games but no games" implies that video games aren't included, as it specifically mentions unlimited 'video games', which would seem to mean that you'll have video games, but no board games, card games, drinking games, etc. Therefore you'd still be able to use video games. On top of this, if we assume that it only counts as a "game" if you have fun with it, as long as you play games that you hate or are going to hate while playing like Monopoly, then I think we can include those games in there too.
