Could be a very stupid question, but when doing a rebuild how do you know whether the clutch a d all the parts should be refurbished or replaced?

Thanks. Buying new is very tempting, but I have wire brushed mine already so will see how it goes after a prime and paint. Was just curious what you’d done 👍

Hey mate, I stumbled across your channel a little while back.. Your yard is coming along nicely 👌 The colour I used was a custom mix which I got mixed at my local paint supplier.. So unfortunately it’s not a colour that everyone can buy..

Have you considered leaving the thrust bearing in the freezer over night?

I have heard of people doing this.. I personally have never done it but the theory behind it makes sense.

Learn how to press bearings in champ. You never press them in from the inner race.Always press them in from the outer race. That’s where you want the pressure to avoid damage to the bearing. You can press them in with a large g-clamp too.

Any tips for getting the thrust bearing out?

Unfortunately not.. I haven’t found a better way than bashing it out with a stick from the other side..

@@SBRenos also having issues with one of the rear roller bearings, gear side goes on fine, but the other end is super tight for some reason 🤔

Crikey, heat up the clutch. Bearing will probably fall in.
