In high school(in South Africa), playing fullback, Gavin Hastings was my rugby hero. Even my place kicking steps was modeled after his. FYI, I sucked as a place kicker. To this day, Scotland remains my "second" international team because of this man...

Sir Gavin Of Hastings, We salute you and honour a magnificent career. Watching you and your warriors in the 1991 world cup got me back into rugby for the next 7 years where I had the honour of playing for Watsonians and shaking your hand. About that kick, God did that just to remind you, that only he is Perfect. Every pearl needs the grit.
Great player. 2 of the greatest Fullbacks of all time are from Scotland. Also loved watching Andy Irvine. He was first of the great running fullbacks in the World with blistering pace.
Absolute legend mate. English fan that's glad you're now retired ✌️
I remember the miss well, devastating.
I'd love to know who that chap in the audience is. I'm sort of fascinated by his 1991 era jacket.

Australia always scrape by, by he seats of their pants. Tickets on themselves. I remember Campo in a recent interview saying that the south africans always looked to the aussies. What a lot of horse manure.
