i totally agree with you, this cover is the best one and i further think that Scorpions´ cover is even better than the original in this song Klaus sings with a bizarre voice that is quite low and tasty, and i love the way he sings

Good to hear Scorpions who I love and saw in 1981 play a tune that awoke me as a 9 year old. Bolan at that time in 1973 was simply in a different league, the whole sound and imagery from Bolan simply is indelible in hearts and minds of kids from early 1970's Uk

I agree, every single song I've been listening to other the known one's are unbelievable. I'm absolutely stunned at how many song's and amazing and some that I heard before and never knew it was the Scorpions who sang them. I've been on a Scorpions binge for the last 5 hours.

Aye, right. Listen to "Midnight" from the 'B' Sides album, and you can hear for yourself that Bolan's musical range had already started to branch out into the heavy metal genre. I think he would have really loved the way the guitars sing in this cover. It's quite an homage!

By now 2021. a few versions exist including VF, but most covers are of this Scorpions cover. Both a tribute to T-Rex and Scorpions both underrated bands.
