You have to give it to Matthias Jabs. I haven’t seen many examples of a new guitarist completely reinvented a bands sound except maybe when Mick Taylor joined the Stones in 1969.

I saw them a bunch of times back in the day, they are freaking amazing, just waves of riffs, blasting into the audience, they're the real deal. Try them live at Wakken 2006, they did a career retrospective and had Michael Schenker and Uli John Roth do guest sets and everyone jammed later in the set. Incredible concert! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

If I remember correctly it was Scorpions, Pat Travers and Sammy Hagar. I saw them a few times so I could be wrong. But every time I saw them they put on a great show. Houston coliseum was the best place to watch shows back in my day. Monsters of Rock in Rice stadium was also one of my favorites.

The opening number from US leg of the tour Pictured Life wasn't 'released'. Hopefully it wouuld be...

Hermann Rarebell, Francis Bucholz, Rudolph Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Klaus Meine now that's the Scorpions. I liked Micheal Schenker and Uli Jon Roth also from the beginning. This just seemed to be the tightest version, at least until it fell apart.

August 14, 1982 was: Girlschool, Iron Maiden & SCORPIONS. Next day ‘s write up In the Dallas Times Herald was something like ~ “Scorpions cause BLACKOUT at Reunion” !!!!! Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism and Blackout were peak Scorpions for me, incredible albums. I loved all of Uli's stuff as well, they just kicked butt back then.
