Back in the day "by ear" was the only way. And I tried to recreate the guitar tone but failed miserably. Other albums that I cut my guitar teeth on were "Mob Rules" and "Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath.

I saw them 7/17/82 at Anaheim Stadium. Iron Maiden opened then the Scorpions then Loverboy then Foreigner. It was so loud and exciting!

My roommate bought this album when it first came out, we were preparing for their concert in San Diego once again. When I heard "Blackout" I said "this is going to be their opening song" and it was. Still love the Scorpions

I'm from '89 and have this cassette and it sounds way better than this does.If you can't read a clock or don't know good music then that's your parents fault.

Knowing how different things were different back then compared to now (in our modern instantaneous digital society) I belt that felt awesome to get the album that early.

I listened to this casette alone in my room sooo many times in the early eighties. This and Blizzard of Ozz.

I went to the "Blackout" concert back in 82/83 (I think) and they blew me away !!! I hadn't even heard "The Zoo" before but "Blackoout" has always been my favorite song, at least until I met the boys from "Pantera" in Dallas in the mid 90's. Vinnie was hanging out in a strip club I went to and we talked music, git drunk, and partied with hot strippers!!!
