As someone that's been playing the series since Madden '92 (and living for the ambulance to run over the players it was supposed to be helping), it's always funny seeing people playing the older versions that I gave up blocks of my childhood on. You were having problems with Madden and Madden 92 because you were pressing the audible button instead of the snap (a instead of c on the Genesis).

This is like 2 years late but when you throw the ball in the old 90s games it automatically puts you in control of the receiver you threw it to, so then you have to run the receiver to the spot the ball is going to land to make the catch. That's why you couldn't ever complete any passes in the old games. When you took control of the receiver you weren't running to where the ball will land.

So why we never got the scoring a touchdown in every NCAA game? Would've loved to see that

@@samuelschmitt853 yes it is, when a QB throws the ball he doesn't have to think about where to move his head and see the field, he can just instinctually move his head wherever he wants and throw the ball. The game was asking you to basically control the QBs neck and arm at the same time and made the game way less smooth. For example if I scrambled to my right but I'm looking at my tight end in the middle of the field, I wouldn't have to think to turn my head to the right and see my other receiver and pass it to him, I would naturally just do it. In the game you would have to hit R2 + the receiver button to look at him, then hit the receiver button again to pass it, that's unrealistic, something that would be instantaneous in real life just took you an extra 2 seconds
