I know this is daft but when you passed the cute yellow duck planter I was disappointed AND then you went back for it 😂😂😂 it’s the little things.

For several months, I bugged my husband for a picture I wanted on Wayfair but he kept telling me it was out of our budget and We Are Not Buying It! Well I went into a Goodwill on the other side of town, and the picture was there with only a minor scratch on the frame. We painted the frame and it now hangs in my living room. Did I mention it was also half price day! The Wayfair price $300 plus shipping Goodwill $5.00 plus paint on hand. HAPPY WIFE!!!

I found 4 baby deer, they were $3.99 they are from the 50,s two of them have broken legs, one ear was broken, I went ahead and still took them the repairs were done very well they will stay in my collection for my vintage Christmas decor 😊

Vintage canisters I would say so . I started house keeping 54 years ago with those canisters , but in green . I never thought I would see them again ! Gail here !

After hearing you say, “I hope we can make it count.” (About going to the 3rd GW)… I raised my glass of wine, pictured Leonardo DiCaprio & Kate Winslet/Titanic Dinner Scene….. and said, “To making it count….” In my most regal voice! 😂😂😂

You could put wood filler on the beak of that bird, sand it to the desired shape, and paint it black, being sure to distress the paint, to look old. It's really not a hard fix at all.

Those bongo looking drums were very cool looking and Laurel is going to love it. Perfect size for her to sit with and they’ll make less noise than banging on pans or a drum set

I’ve said it before I think you could have a ‘preloved/ damaged’ section as people would appreciate an affordable entry point

Dragon is the 80s. 5 toes is Chinese, 4 toes is Korean and 3 toes is Japanese. Wings are European.

The blue dragon w chip count have been very interesting. I collect antique Chinese porcelain and had a similarly shaped piece. It had beautifully pa8nted individual sections made to hold delicacies inside. You were right though, the chip probably ruined it's value. I do not agree w the above comment on the number of claws. 5 means it was made for royalty.

I was so surprised that you bought the murano vase, rocks included. I was sure you would've carefully off-loaded them into some other vase, I know I would😯

Regarding the shore bird. It was nice. I showed my husband a pic of it. He said he could comment more if he could actually see it. A bummer that his beak was missing! It was signed though. I couldn’t make out the signature. You commented that shore birds that are mounted on a peg and lack detail are not worth as much as the more detailed birds (paraphrasing). The value more depends on the artist, age, where it came from, whether it was a working duck, just to name a few criteria. I have a shore bird that is very primitive no paint very little detail that I paid $90 for. It was appraised at near 10k! I have a few examples like that and they are collectible and have high value. My husband is the expert on those. I’m still learning. I hope this helps when you find them in the future!

my friend and I were at a church rummage sale and I told her about your "praying hands game". Right away I find 2 and tell her I'm winning and she called me the B word. LOL. A few weeks later we were thrifting and loading our finds into my car and I see a praying hands sticker on a car window. I told her I get 2 points for that because it's outdoors. :)

Maybe teleflora will become the Collectible of future. Some of their vases are beautiful actually.

It’s been many many years, but I worked for Savers in high school. The pricing was the same at goodwill and seems to be still true from watching your videos. Here is the pricing codes: LOW PRICES L-1 O-2 W-3 P-4 R-5 I-6 C-7 E-8 S-9 So LS would be 19 etc.

That little wooden cup with the black, gold and red decoration is known as Russian Lacquered Ware. It was a steal at that price. You missed a gem there, especially that it had all the stickers on it.

Epoxy Sculpt would be a perfect thing to have to fix the bird beak. It's a two part epoxy clay that you mix the two equal parts together, shape it onto whatever and it hardens. A lil black paint and you're golden. For a tiny beak it would have taken 5 mins tops.

I live in Southern California, and I made a trip to a Goodwill in Orange County, CA with a friend who is visiting from Arkansas. She and her "thrifting crazy" daughter from Colorado stopped at a number of Goodwills on the way to California. My friend said that the thrifting prices in CA are way too high! The only reason I can think of for that is that land prices and rent prices are crazy high here, so places have to up their revenues somehow to compensate🤔 Anyway, whatever the reasons for it are, it's not very "thrifty" to thrift in CA😏

I’m 55 yo, I loved that brown glazed vase around the 14:00 mark. It’s exactly the kind of thing I would buy as I recreate the pretty, earthy tones of my childhood in my home these days. Very 1960-1970’s.

Omg Jocelyn, that piece with the dragon was so amazing, stinks it had a chip on it.

For the shorebird, plaster of paris can probably be molded and painted to fix things like that. Depends on the piece and how much you want to repair it, but it doesn't usually take long.

We had those canisters at one point growing up, but ours were avocado. 😉🥑

Any silver plate or silver will oxidize is left out in the air. If it's not kept in a closed cabinet or silverware in a felt drawer it will oxidize just like jewelry will😊

The Goodwills you visit have so much more in stock than ours, here in Indiana.

At 25:18 that was from home party company called Home and Garden (I’m pretty sure that was the name) I had a party back in the 90’s. I believe that dish had a dip bowl but I could be wrong because I never had that piece.
