I'm so grateful our GWs use Saran wrap instead of packing tape! Don't have to worry about damaging the item when you take it off

I have been a big fan for years, so I mean this in the kindest and most complimentary way possible...but honey, I believe you are in full blown nesting mode now. I've noticed you have been drawn to so many things "sweet" and you're rescuing a lot more than usual in your last few vids. And it's delightful. You have such exquisite taste and have evolved to a "top shelf" vintage and antique entrepreneur, but it's just "sweet" to see you giddy and mushy over the small things. Thank you for responsibly and tastefully sharing your personal journeys as much as common sense and safety allows. You've really been able to strike that balance...which is a talent in and of itself with a platform as large as yours. Best of luck to you and your family. There's something about anticipating a new baby that seems to make everyone in its orbit lighthearted, positive and even hopeful for the future. 👏👏👏 Sorry I went so long. I was a transcriptionist by trade who got paid by the line. Old habits die hard lol.

When I was working in thrift stores the unsupervised kids would overwind any music box they could reach… and take apart any game and play it and then leave a mess when their parent would say time to go… frustrated me to no end! Especially since we had signs in multiple languages saying that kids had to be supervised at all times!! They would break things too… and would ride the bikes around the store running down other people… some parents are as bad as their kids!!!

The 2 vintage blue plates but have the spot for a cup - they Are really pretty to put a pillar candle in the cup spot

OMG, that Pyrex Christmas casserole. My holy grail. I've seen one at an antique mall for way too much. I'm determined to find one at a thrift store just innocently lurking in a freshly rolled out cart! Way to go, Dagny!

There are many precious moments figurines that are worth quite a bit! I looked mine up on Worthpoint and it’s sold for over $200! You should look the figurines up before you walk by them!

Whenever I am at a resale shop and see praying hands I think of you two!

I know I already commented but I just HAD to ask WHY GW put their price stickers RIGHT on top of the makers mark or the manufacturer’s sticker??? At the thrift store I work at I always tell my employees NOT to do that 😖

Is the item more valuable with original sticker, probably, so if original sticker gets damaged... It seems to me gw knows exactly what they are doing.

Hot Wheels was good! Sold the empty case on ebay for $20 bucks...may have been some good cars in there too!

Heavy sigh…. You have the best GW. The only thing I can say about ours is they don’t use packing tape. They use the cling wrap stuff.

I so enjoy seeing you and Dagney shopping together.

The little figurine you were curious about for 1.99 is a Ukrainian girl in costume. I got one from my grade 8 Ukrainian school grad.

I love the praying hands. My uncle used to carve wood and made them for everyone in the family back in the early 70’s. You could see veins in the hand. My uncle was extremely talented

That bronze medal lady looked like it could be from the end of an old banister

I love that your GW puts things on the shelf by color!

Try lemon juice, ice cube and salt. Removes most crap from dishes. I've even had remove residue from coffee cup that had burned coffee.

Some vintage Hot Wheels cases are desirable. That one may have been worth it regardless of whether the cars are worth much. I’ve actually had luck buying Hot Wheels in huge lots. They are super easy to list and ship and sometimes one car can be good cash.

The hot wheels cars that have the red lines on the wheels are earlier and I believe more desirable. Those cases are nice for storing the cars!

The metal lady was from a gas lamp, they would be at the bottom of the stairs on the newel post. I have a beautiful one, which I turned into a candle holder. Love to see Dagne!

Hi! Dana Bachman floral purse/cross body bag -That’s an expensive brand sold in upper-scale stores. The comp probably sold for small amount because many people don’t recognize the brand. The fabric floral purse was very pretty too.

This past holiday season I had made a Chanukah display with the few things we did have and not only did I get a great response it sold out as fast as I put it out 😉

The 5qt spice of life casserole dish! I've been piecing the entire set together for myself. I love these dishes.

Nice little Vera for Juliette. I hope the Lady of metal turns out to be something good. At least you saved some not so perfect pieces from the landfill. Thanks for that.

Hello Jocelyn & Dagny, I really enjoyed this video. Thank you both. Just curious if either of you have tried using a hair dryer on the taped items. You warm up the tape with the dryer on high and then gently pull the tape off as you keep warming up the tape with the dryer. Works great for lots of items that can’t get wet.🌈

Yup and they are so dependable and well used... have to hand wash them.

My entire goodwill combined equals about 1 shelf in that goodwill 😂I wish mine was that big bc I’d really be killing it on Ebay. I love that lava glaze vase. You look amazing and I can’t wait to see that sweet baby in a few months 💕💕💕

If you use a hairdryer to soften the tape while you remove it ....it won't pull the paint off

I liked all of your finds---and it was nice of you to pass the pink flamingo mugs to Dagny---those are really BOSS.

Jocelyn: Wall-hanging candle holders are called sconces

When you come across things that have been taped and you are afraid the tape will take the finish off; perhaps a hair dryer or heat gun could help soften the tape and you could get the tape off with no damage to the piece. I don’t know if it will work, but it may not hurt to try.

That cute mice art would look adorable hanging in a babies room. Gosh I would love to decorate a nursery.

Hi Jocelyn. Love the two bud vases you picked up. The metal lady you got reminds me of the one from my Grandma I inherited but don't know much about it only that ishe had it all her married life from 1925.

Fifth! 🥳 I was just watching the last video and this was here! I DO love your videos! The car planter…are r there so many cute planters? I have thought about just putting up a skinny board around, near my ceiling to collect and display them. Even the little baby block nursery ones…they’re all so cute! The blue teapot by the snow globe is something. I can’t remember without going to look it up right now. They do a pink line too. 💝 That windmill thing is SUPER cute!!! I love the colors too!

Do you ever peel the tape off in the store to see if it's going to peel paint off? I do. They could avoid this by wrapping the item with the sticky side out, then sticky side in over top of that.

I don't get where you think they're still value in something if it's chipped or cracked. Does your decision depend on the severity of the chip or crack or if it's that noticeable or not? Curious.

The sets are called "castor sets" they usually had metal stands, and the different bottles.

That large pottery dog bowl?! We have one just like it! Our is very large, because the stupid lab kept dumping the water bowl. He’ll break a few teeth before he can dump that. Bought on eBay, cost a fortune to ship it to me! So worth though instead of cleaning water off the floor everyday!

@@SisterShirley actually I do love our lab. Along with my Pom/Chi, and every other cat or dog that ever crossed our threshold. Just saying, he’s not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Terribly sweet but also the biggest chicken in the world! Which at almost 100 lbs ain’t necessarily a good thing. My husband is a large man! 6’3” and over 200 lbs. Beau managed to take him off his feet twice when he was walking him because he got scared of something. My son comes over regularly, and it’s been over a year, Beau is still afraid of him.

Wow! Did you two go to the same store? Love that you each find your own treasures!

I love the shopping with you and Dagney. Question: Do you find that thrift shops like GW in towns with military bases have extra good stuff? I thought that even before watching anybody’s reselling videos. I lived in a state capital town ( their GW’s were crappy). But I commuted an hour to a tiny rural town with an AFB ( their GW had amazing things from all over the world.). I considered this a side effect from the transient nature of the Air Force population.
