Antonella’s vocals were incredible here, and Scooter absolutely nailed everything else, deffo one of their best songs.
I love how in every Scooter music video, you have Baxxter singing and then the other group members just standing next to or near him just looking cool.

Antonella Ruggiero, Matia Bazar's original Singer and writer of the original song TI SENTO
This song is meant to mix some older music with more modern. They really play off each other, making both a bitter-sweet dynamic, that really mingles well. Scooter is one of my favorite artists, but they really made this piece sweet, adding Matia Bazar's classic voice so much more haunting than it would normally be, thanks to the way techno has remixed. The contrast between her voice and male vocalist is strikingly different, also adding to the contrasts.

Too bad it literally has a small dynamic range, it's way too overcompressed. At least to my taste. A relic of the loudness wars. (r.i.p. 90's - 2010's masters, no wonder people prefered the vinyl versions/masters of songs from that era :) ) Like, compare it with a classic like this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qHuVqa5wfs26m9Y.html that jumps (no pun intented :) ) into your face when the chorus kicks in. Now, that's dynamic imho. Many songs from this era would sound way better if the dynamics were preserved. More interaction between soft & louder sounds, instead of trying to be continuously loud.

She is Antonella Ruggiero aka Matia first lead singer of Italian pop band from the 80s Matia Bazar. Their song "Ti sento" (I feel you) and was released in 1985 reaching top positions in the charts of many european countries... there's plenty of videos of them on YT... she just turned 70 and her voice is still fabulous! 😊
this is one of the few songs that blasts shivers down my spine every time i hear it
