I mean... LIGHT SPOILERS Anyone who's nostalgic for "Bavaria in ze 1930's" is definitely suspect. Maybe not the evil painter's bird, but he definitely saw horrible people doing horrible things. The question of where he was between '39 and '45 is a very legitimate one here as opposed to the usual joke.

@@bthsr7113[Also spoilers] The reason I don’t like it is because it’s implied when P meets E that he is a young parrot and they bonded as children, but him being in mid-century Germany means he’s already very old by the time of the “original” Mystery Incorporated, not even counting it’s already pushing it for a parrot to live that long. What’s more - why does he look so young in the S1 flashbacks but decrepit when we first see him in prison, but also young in the 30s flashbacks? There are just too many details and unanswered questions for me to get on board with this theory even though I quite like it on concept.

@@bthsr7113 I thought the show was supposed to be set when the series was, considering everyone has phones, and the original MI was in the 80s. If the original MI was in the 50s/60s then maybe the timeline matches up? But idk, there’s too much modern tech for me to think this is supposed to be anything before 2005 at least.

15:13 to be fair Daphne did leave them to solve mysteries on their own in first two season 2 episodes, so it's only fair she kind of goes solo In S02E06

Aside from the well crafted spooky atmosphere, the supernatural elements aren't confirmed until season 2, and they're all tied to the overarching mystery. They're an escalation and seemingly foreign element. Beyond the inherent scare of a well crafted ghost, whenever they show up in this show, they're indicating that $h!t is getting real.

You guys should definitely watch the TMNT 2012 series or generator rex after this

Fun fact, the Hodag is an actual cryptid from Wisconsin. Northern Wisconsin, like one town really, but to the extent that Jersey has their devil, my state has the Hodag. Which is to say it makes for a light tourism boost, but isn't actually real beyond the statues and swag. Still, state pride, baby! Besides, it's not like I can shout out our more industrially affiliated tourism destinations in this episode. There's no hook for it. Arguably more interesting is how one background character is a dead ringer for a character from Transformers Animated. 1:47 Well she is Daphne's sister, and all of her sisters are both ridiculously successful in their careers and come from old money. It is still wildly eccentric though, I will not deny that. 5:11 I really like this. Closure on the first part of the overarching mystery. Putting that first clue to rest where it belongs. The old guard are reunited at last. But it is so very brief. "Bro! Just sell that technology!" eeyup! He really could. As could so many people in this Damned town. Heck, Marcy was the only one who considered that. Cassidy is in their corner, as the game enters a new phase. 25:23 "Oh, so he can be the governor of Texas." Though the sarcophagus is older. And I'd bet good money the natives led the Conquistadors to it to bring these bringers of destruction to ruin. 45:13 GENTLEMEN!
