I love that Tony was a giant supporter of Bruce when he was desperately trying to keep the Hulk from emerging, he treated him as human and trusted him to keep himself in check whenever he played around and tried to provoke (like with the taser he used). Whereas everyone else treated him as basically a walking nuke (they have the right to do so tbf) but Tony treating him normally helped Bruce break out of his shell and this newfound confidence bled into Hulk and helped his focus.

This is literally the opposite of what their dynamic should be. They hate each other in the comics (except that weird moment in Civil War II when Tony acted like they were best friends after Bruce died when nearly every other interaction they've ever had says otherwise)

You can thank the super soldier serum as he a conducting an experiment that was meant to make him resistant to gamma radiation, except that it failed as the exposure to radiation causes Banner to turn into the green Goliath.

ultron was actually a completely separate interface! went ultron went online, he dismantled jarvis and then sort of integrated himself into the web. once he had taken his “protect earth” mission a little too far, tony was able to get jarvis back up and put him into the body ultron was building, who then became the vision

It might take a lot of hits to the point Banner might actually be in near death. Like remember in Thor Ragnarok when Banner jumped out of a ship and bellyflopped straight down the Asgard Bridge but Hulk still didnt come out right away? LMAO

FYI the coulomb barrier is a fancy way of saying physics really hates putting charged particles together. Electromagnetism means charged particles particles repel each other with a force of proportional to (charge)^2 / (separation)^2 once you get really close (and I do mean really close, about 10^-15m) to the nucleus a force called the strong nuclear force is even stronger and beats electromagnetism pulling the two nuclei together so they can fuse. However, the amount of energy is so crazy that not even the centre of the sun is sufficient. The solution is a weird quantum effect called quantum tunnelling which gives particles a probability of going through barriers classical physics says they can't. Stabilising quantum tunnelling makes no sense the entirety of quantum mechanics is built on inherent uncertainty. I.e. a perfect measurement is impossible. So if you can somehow stabilise quantum mechanics you just broke the last 100yrs of physics. I'm second year astrophysics and I haven't heard of heavy ion fusion. You can fuse heavier ions, which may be what they're referring to, but you get way more energy fusing hydrogen to helium than all other processes in the fusion chain combined (after iron it actually costs energy to fuse elements) so there isn't much reason why you would want to; plus the coulomb barrier is present in all fusion - it isn't anywhere near unique to heavy ions. Basically they did enough research to get some of the terminology right but still ended up talking utter nonesense

I mean it wasn't utter nonsense, Banner was right. You said it yourself, no one does heavy ion fusion, primarily because the coulomb barrier is so daunting for large nuclei. But if you can 'stabilise the coulomb barrier', then even heavy ion fusion becomes laughably easy

Tony does invent time travel ten years later so I dunno maybe it is possible for them. Bruce seemed to kind of take it as a no go, but then Tony was like but what if? Loki is walking around with the mind stone and the space stone, so using those might make it possible. Marvel comics is great at taking base scientific theories and then running crazy with them.

I mean... can you really ask for more research than that and have an MCU with half of the things we've seen in it? Even the Iron Man suits and Arc Reactors alone break so many basic principles that you can't just sidestep in anything like real physics.

Now that the MCU is moving into Phase 4 and stuff, I really wish I could go back to those ''primordial'' times of the franchise in the early 2010s, when the gang was still being formed. Maybe it's just me but I feel the franchise is becoming too spread out and lost focus since Thanos was the greatest threat for the better part of the last decade. But let's see what the future holds...
