I remember hearing about this several years ago. From what I remember, the red light from the ping pong balls + the static noise will cause you to have visual and auditory hallucinations. Something about your senses being totally deprived and your brain decides to fill in the blanks with whatever it comes up with.

Me too! That is why I stopped watching DUST. Am I the only one that sees the emperor has no clothes?

I won’t be buying any red bulbs, that’s for sure. Well done to all involved in this, especially the young men who played their parts extremely well.

Are you serious. The acting was very bad. The director could have at least taught them how to pause while speaking or change the tone.

I am not an experienced critic, I am not an acting coach, I am but a viewer watching these two actors do the best that they can at the age they are. I’m not qualified to critique their performance but I am qualified to provide encouragement. I was not watching Bob and Jodie in Taxi Driver.

Hey, I've seen this DUST SHORT FILM before here at DUST. So then, I think, it already belongs to the DUST SHORT FILMS that are broadcasted always on Thursdays during the "Throw back thursday" broadcasts of DUST!

Well the thing is, is that I also remember watching it but when I look back I do not see it anywhere. And I don't see it in the list on dust and I didn't see it on alter either but I've watched it on one of these 2 channels .. now is the second time. I'm wondering if they erased the old one and that's why it doesn't say throwback Thursday. Or did they slightly change the title? I actually hate re-watching movies unless I specifically seek them out but when they get recommended to me when they've already uploaded it, it pisses me off. Something weird is going on.. because all you have to do is put lucid nation into the search and it should show up if you've watched it in the last couple years which I have. Which leads me to believe that either alter or dust deleted it, hence no "throwback Thursday". I've never seen them not put "throwback Thursday", when it's a reupload.

Where did you guys get this from because I've seen it before but when I put it in my search the watched one doesn't come up. Did you delete it off your channel and reupload it? Or was this on altar and they deleted it? Or did you guys change the title, hence why I can't find it?

Agree. Recycled ideas/story. Horrible acting. There's been hardly anything original on Dust. Mostly predictable sci-fi with occasional gems.

Twilight Zone of the our-normal face in a world of disfigurement (beautiful woman.) The lignts reminded me of a real event 2 years ago where a girl gouged out her own eyes near some railroad tracks. Teen ager, lived with her mom. I still cringe she considered it a positive afterward Is this video symbolism of being in front of the TV or video games and losing touch with reality?

97% of the filmmakers on this channel will end up rotating my tires. If you’re unable to put a thought provoking, sensible story in a short why would anyone invest their money in you to produce a movie? Only film students pretend to like confusing plots because they’ve grown up sucking up to everyone with a camera. If you want to succeed in this field you’ll eventually have to learn how to get the audiences attention.

How would you know if you were in one of those at this very moment. Maybe that's why it feels like the whole world is going mad lately.

Predictable, recycled ideas. Bad acting.

Outta da gate, the establishing shots explain the environment without being so.dang.top.heavy. More and more I find younglings and myself flipping past over- long establishing scene. To get to the meat of the story.just nice, " it's winter , smallish town,...blah blah....story beginning...we really don't need to know the wall plugs are whatever. Or what Arcetecual style. Unless it's essentially establishing the. Feeling of the period of the film. Don't overdo the environment. ,At distracting from the actual story! Good balance! We know the surroundings can visualize. Like kewel. This would make a good Reading experience*like Stephen King! Can set the feel of the place, over the head with over a heavy set up over the head by descriptive environmental. Give us the basic layout it was snowing kids are walking the buses aren't running,. I'm finding more film-makers establishing shots that people just get bored and go to the bathroom and Miss because it got lost in the establishing Shot! Good lesson.

This is a repeat.

on the upside, kid's gonna have no problems picking up women.... or passing interviews, just generally breeze thru social life. its one thing to imagine the person interviewing you has a tumorous cancer face, quite another to literally see it, all day, every day
