Have been lucky enough to hear Perahia play this twice - a formidable exponent of Schumann
Beautiful lines between the soloist and orchestra.
So many interesting details and artistery. Just ear the violas leading the modulation at 1:02 or the way pianist and orchestra suspend the high note and phrase exactly the same the descending at 1:22 or the articulation of the orchestra section (equal to the piano) at 2:45. What an excelent colaboration, truly an extended chamber music craft.
