Very different level of Zlatomir and pianist. Zlatomir is an amazing cellist, I remember him from Tchaikovsky competition. It was totally great. He is a musician, he is not only a cellist.
I just heard him play live today and it brought tears to my eyes. Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major. Magnificent!!
Oh, my God, Zlatomir...you are more than artist: you are a teacher of life and spiritual self control. Thank you and God bless you!
He is an amazing cellist! I love your playing style, you're a great artist!
Bravi, bravi!! What a finely crafted narrative you two wrought from the carapace of Schubert's genius staffs. What nuance. How compelling. Thank you!
Schubert still lives !
This is a superb performance!
Truly remarkable! Amazing!
Bravo - simply wonderful.
Absolutely charming interpretation. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Beautiful! Amazing cellist.
Beautiful!
Thank you, just loved it.
You truly captured the spirit of the composer, and Schubert would be smiling if he heard this rendition. Bravi and best wishes to your future career from another Heifetz alumni:)

Um dos poucos jovens que se mantém elegantes e musicais nessa era de se tocar tudo forte e caricato...

Heard play dvorak with the a2so, my favorite concert I've been too
Bravo 🤗👍
1:01 It even works great on the Violin too
Hello, I really appreciate the time stamps for the different movements. Because I am writing program notes for this piece I noticed there is a mistake in the bio: the start of the Allegretto movement is 16:39, not 19:52 as described. A lovely performance from both musicians!
Start 2:50
All credits go to Schubert.
Como os GALOS Bons músicos conhecem partitura DE COR TOCAM COM OS OLHOS FECHADOS
ZLATOMIR??????? MY FATHER NAME IS ZLATOMIR MAYBE UR REALLY DAD WAS A SLAVIC MAN!
Did not find this to be as liberal of an interpretation as they claimed. It was like Rostropovich and Britten lite, without the daring to be as liberal. Lacks the overwhelming contrast in melancholy and liveliness, in light and dark. Still tasteful and well played, very much in style with someone singing though.

Morgan T What a compliment to compare a 17-year old to mid 30 Rostropovich. And Rostropovich was probably playing on a Strad, and it can make a huge difference... a good instrument can often enlighten an artist to do so much more. I think Zlatomir is an incredible cellist, and the juries of 2019 Tchaikovsky cello competition all think so, too.

@@iventesn8874 would love to know if that is a Gary Davis cello he is playing.
