Your 613GG is gorgeous! Personally I think the patina of brown leather is a superior point compared to black leather. I love brown and that's why I have a 626 Brown (now out of production). More brown and less black...thank you! 😉

Ive always liked brown leather more than black, black is just black but brown has so many shades and nuances....

Often the case for sure. In this particular leather it’s actually not got a lot of depth. They treated it for very uniform appearance

I am definitely interested in a brown Schott Perfecto. I got other brown jackets but the Perfecto style has my heart. I got super lucky and found a Fidelity Perfecto copy that is so beautiful and perfect fitting. It looks like it was placed in a time machine and sent to the future because those jackets haven’t been made in three decades and it looks brand new. Anyways, I’m a fan of Schott. I’m a fan of originators, a fan of Americana. I know there are better made jackets but Schott is the brand I choose because I also love history. I feel like leather jackets can become a part of a person’s history and heritage, much like the boots we love.

the brown color gives a more beautiful patina to the perfecto. mine is 20 years old and it’s perfect! Thanks Schott.

I have a 519 Brown Schott leather jacket and I love it I can wear it with a lot of different outfits.

I have the dark brown 618 perfecto. It’s 2 yrs old. Iv never seen one reviewed yet. It’s getting a nice two tone patina and the gold buckle also.

Hey there again, DudsbyDel, that is a really excellent and very helpful revue of this Schott's perfecto. It also is looking so cool on you. Of course it is certainly a question of preference and personal taste if you chose a brown perfecto. I must say that jacket, you are presenting, has a phantastic leather quality and beautiful brown colour. I also love the Indy leather Jackets since I found out about the cosplayers. Your jacket can be easily worn with blue jeans or black jeans, by the way also with side laced brown or black leather jeans, and these brown jackets are after my opinion also looking always good and very stylish. Yes I’d like to. I’ve come close to getting both on separate occasions. Have seen much more of the 689 but I like the look of the 688

I'm not sure if it's horsehide, there's no HH label as usual...

Yes I’m not sure either which is why I phrased it that way. Trying to find out more. The only press release I could find related to this jacket made me think it’s likely horsehide but 🤷‍♂️ Will try to find out more from Schott now that I have it

It’s a bit tough with it closed. Have worn it quite a few times since this review and mobility is the one negative, perhaps a slightly smaller person would enjoy the jacket better

Couldn’t find it. I emailed Schott for more info. But I found a press release that I believe is for this jacket that indicated horsehide. I’ll be honest, I think horsehide and cowhide are both great and don’t have a strong preference for one over the other. But I do want to be accurate
