I fw both of these Artist HEAVILY! But Mann IMO Q's growth was lil more authentic, less narrated by the industry, and a lil more uncut. Props to Vince for growing and advancing in his journey, but he had WAYY more help and guidance! I just relate to Q more as somebody influential vs Vince being like somebody I came up w/. Q is sick with the pen but he ain't better than Ab-Soul and an argument could be made that Jay Rock is better than him too, even though I wouldn't agree. Now this is when it comes strictly to pen on paper. But Q is the most musically gifted right behind Kendrick, that's why his albums tend to be better sonically speaking. But as far as lyrics go, nah. He himself would slide right off of any Kendrick comparison, and for good reason. I love Q but that's just what it is.

Kendrick obviously the best all around and most popular of the original members or original male members.. I'd consider SZA and Jhene a part of black hippy kinda since they was around and participated in projects around that era... but yeah I like all of Qs shit but idk habits and contradictions and oxymoron all tracks are all pretty much unskippable especially if I ain heard em in a minute but the albums after that are definitely good even great but idk I think Q got kinda big and lost a Lil bit of that rawness that I related to and fucked wit heavy and sorta kinda started to try and go a Lil commercial... oxymoron had studio and that was like the only big song on there that was a radio hit but all the features on their seemed natural and fit perfectly the albums after had a lot of big names that kinda made the albums not feel as raw and natural.. and not that ion like those songs with big names but they just don't hit the same... off blank face the only tracks I really bump regularly are tookie knows ii cause it got that raw energy I'm tahm bout and groovy tony but with just Q, even tho I fw Jada but I prefer the version wit just Q... then I like the video for dangerous with kid Cudi
