School lunch in Burundi

Where education for sure goes through the stomach!
Burundi is one of the most affected countries by hunger in the world. Only in the province of Kirundu nearly 70 percent of the population suffer from chronic lack food. The majority of the children leave home with an empty stomach every day. But at school a warm meal is waiting for them.

Even if you yourself don't waste food, the stores still will. People that live in first world nations don't understand the scope of how much food is wasted every single day by grocery stores and other food vendors. I have worked at several grocery stores and the amount of food that doesn't even get donated, but gets straight up thrown in the trash can factor is probably thousands of dollars of food a day. Some stores do donate to food kitchens for the homeless but even the ones that do donate end up throwing out at least $1,000 in food a day. I've worked at gas stations that throw out dozens of donuts a week like 50 plus donuts every single week. The food waste in America is astronomical. No individuals shouldn't buy tons of food just to waste it, but a handful of people not wasting food isn't going to solve the problem. Even if a bunch of people were to buy less food that just means that it would build up in the grocery stores and they would just throw it away anyway until eventually the trend led to them to stop ordering as much but that would have to be thousands of people cooperating in one area and it would take months for the orders to catch up.

The world has given them food as always. For centuries It happens tons of feed being taken to Africa continent every year, but they continue starving. They have to learn to survive learning to plant, leave back their culture of poverty.

You see no over weight people and they only eat vegetarian. Most people would never go vegetarian because they could not deal with the social pressure of being a vegetarian.

To those who can please do help support the lunch programmes at Burundi school. Your $50 per month is a lot of money in Burundi and it would be the most generous of charity.

Great humanitarian work feeding poor children. However, we hope someone is teaching them why and how NOT to have many children ,otherwise, it might be a little 'to labour in vain'. I know it sounds strong thing, excuses.
