    Why do you use 1/2" instead of 1/4" or 1/8" paneling? Seems like that would be very expensive and heavy.

    For the future I’d just build a 2 T shapes out of 2x4”s that’s as tall as the ceiling. You could hold up the wood by slipping the T brackets under it when it’s lifted kinda like a jack stand. I do that when do sheetrock on ceilings actually. Saves tons of time and energy. I love the videos though!! Really giving me an idea for my own skoolie imma do soon.

    ?? When placing the backer straps into the ceiling, why did you not place more straps? This would provide more anchor points to accommodate the arc tension for the ceiling boards. And what would be to much? It looks like you had 5, adding 2 or 4 more may help?? How many did you use when building Navi, a more traditional bus roof? You guys are doing a great job and thank you for sharing your adventure to help others! Best

  • @navigationnowhere

    @navigationnowhere

  • @jwrangler12

    @jwrangler12

    The reason is 99.9 % of the people doing this are not builders. That are regular people building something they want. Regular people don't have nail guns they have drills and that's What they are comfortable with using.

    I would agree with James Taylor - above. With the flex and movements of the body over time may push the nails out, as screw back out happens, it just is less common and a slower process. The use of a liquid nail is also something I would not do

    This is a double edge sword. Without these ‘commercials’, Mike has less opportunity to afford to continue creating content for others to watch for free. I’ve noticed Google has been stepping up the amount of spaces for ads, and he can’t always control them. It’s just something we have to live with in order to keep this balance of Mike getting paid for his hard work, and us having to sit through a few seconds of ads. 😁
