Summary: Make sure you open a current account (preferably in an Islamic Bank) as there is no interest on it (Because the government will most likely send the money to your bank) You may receive the government benefits regardless of whether their income is halal or not as the way your gaining that wealth is halal. In a different scenario, if your a seller of goods(halal) and the buyer purchases goods from you using their haram income, then it will still halal for you to receive it as the way your gaining that wealth is through halal business. On the other hand, if the buyer purchases goods from you using stolen money and if you get to know that the money is stolen, then in this scenario you cannot complete the transaction as the money must be returned to its owner. Come to our country to obey the Quran and make people understand that they are disobeying the command of Allah. Zakat or charity is held by scholars and pirs.
