I’m going to agree with everyone, this is the best video on tying a buckaroo knot that I’ve seen.

Out of the dozen videos I've watched trying to figure this out, yours is the only one that worked. The view looking down made it easy. Thanks!!!

( I am borrowing my daughters youtube page to write a comment ) -- Hello and Thanx for the video . This is actually the best demo I've seen ! Great Job ! It took a while but I just received my very first 100 % Silk 'Wild Rag' to complete my look . I live in an area where you don't see many people dressed in western/cowboy flair -- so I kinda stick out like a sore thumb . ( I volunteer at 2 horse farms - trail guide mostly ) . -- But I swear I was a real cowboy in a past life . A few more years , when all my kids are finished with school and out on their own -- me and the Mrs. will be re-locating to Montana or Wyoming , so I can live out my remaining years on a ranch . -- The one thing I like most about my new Jacquard is that it does keep me from sweating all over . What a great addition and improvement to my lifestyle . Thanx again !!

Thank you! Best “how-to” video for this knot that I’ve seen. The view from above camera angle at the end was what I needed!

Very interesting. The buckaroo knot is know as the federalist knot here in southern Brazil. It was worn by gauchos fighting for federalism during the revolutions of the late 1800s and early 1900s. It's my go to knot for social events

I watched at least six videos on how to tie the buckaroo knot and this one was the very best. I was about to give up until I saw this one and I love the way he demonstrated with the gun parts!

I use what I believe is a kind of square knot but you can also use a scarf slide like the Boy Scouts use on their scarves. I sometimes use a finger ring as slide.
