More realistic Schlieffen gameplay is pushing up to an island, slowly getting closer to secondary range and finding out that all your DDs are already dead and the rest of the team is hiding behind your CV xD

I'm finding that too, but they come out for behind you for a moment to steal your kill after your 2nds spent 120+ seconds melting down a ship or two to 100 hp

And i saw a 330k damage replay of it. The guy did the same thing with 2 Lo Yang divmates. Zeppelin secondaries are(were?) more accurate though. Schlieffen has an average 30% hit rate, Zeppelin has over 40% But i think secondary meme Zeppelin is history, as you cannot choose secondary skills for a CV any more😢

So it's basically the good ol' glorious Graf Zeppelin smoke crawler div, except that instead of the occasional plane there's occasional main gun salvo.

That was me in the Austin who charged with nothing left to lose near the end. We called out exactly what that division was going to do at the beginning but honestly, better payers are just better players, good game.

A coordinated group of even average players, especially when it's purpose built to run a fairly absurd exploit, is all but certain to stomp the opposition. Hope you had a decent game regardless; I suppose it might have been interesting to have been on the other side watching, LOL.

@@steeltrap3800 Only real way to counter it would to have radar cruisers light up the DDs and everyone together target them. Once the DDs are gone, its simple to focus down the schlef.

It was more coordination that saved the day for them.

Secondaries are my favorite weapons in WoW. I remember people trying to do all sorts of secondary builds in German ships years ago from the Bayern and onward. Last one I think I saw was a Carrier secondaries build. But this one is just ridiculous and beautiful all the same!

BFK streams are criminal levels of fun and so worth it, thank you for the replay.

This mans secondary hits almost beats out my record number of secondary shells fired.

With 2 Ships entirely devoted to supporting, dividing the 350k by 3 makes more sense and makes it seem less impressive. Playing like this looks like tons of fun tho.

I think the takeaway from this match is the Schlieffen is a really big DD

Main reason why I quit the game. OP divisions like this in Random mode sucks for the other team. The game is basically over before the countdown timer finishes.

We've been doing this with a Vampire and 2 Napolis. We don't get this amazing a result, but it definitely makes people poop themselves.

well since it has pretty much dd caliber as secondaries, they should be spotted too after shooting form smoke. then again it depends on the range and distance.

I had a lot of luck but I even broke the dmg record. Not the dmg exclusivly from the secondary's but I was able to deal 370k dmg. Alone with no help from a division

this schlieffen is basically harugumo firing 20 guns in a smoke lmao this is the reason why iam regrinding tech tree, i want to get vampire II and gives smoke to schlieffens in my server XD i hope i can meet atlantico in my vampire II

I had this accidently happen with my Pommern, although with far less damage done. Was supporting a DD at cap and a few BB's had pinned me down near cap, although far enough away that the DD could still get on it un detected. I was facing the cap near the island and decided to just push to cover the DD and he smoked me into the cap. Managed to stop in the smoke and proceeded to secondary damage/burn down an Iowa and Colorado and another cruiser as they pushed in. It was cheesy as hell that a ship can sit so close just dumping out secondary fire with zero real counter, but that has been they way this game has been for so long with regards to balance.

In your case there was a counter. Patience. Sounds to me they just had to wait pushing, untill after the smoke had dissipated.

Would the division still work if the fletcher was changed to a Friesland/Groningen

Yes, but not as much, as the fletcher gets the really long US smoke.

yes, it will still work as Fries/Gron both have US smoke, tho not as maneuverable nor as stealthy as the Fletcher.

Yes. You go IFHE on KM 105s.

Finally something really fun The only worry is when WG sees this and decided to destroy whatever fun this makes.

His sec dmg this game is almost equal to my overall dmg record (245k in the Kurrywurst)

I'm surprised there's no secondary consumable that allows even lower reload time or more pen/dmg. :D The game will be completely broken if they buff GF to have comparable secondaries but way more health and armor.^^

The only aspect in which GK sec are better that they are all 128mm caliber, penning 32mm bow plating without IFHE, so they retain their higher fire chance. They also fire faster than the 150mms the Schlieffen has. But lack the accuracy

1600 secondary hits omg... Most I've done in random op was 600

If WG watch this replay, next day instantly nerfing this ship. :(

yeah if you are lucky to have a team that remembers what smoke is for. This ship is too squishy.

just 1 flag per badge would be fine, but the badges are pointless without them

i think what u say is simply wrong xD my wargamings OWN statement, a ship always counts as the highest tier in a division when it comes ot matchmaker. so ur t9 ships count as t10 and just ingame when u entered a game with a t9 are matcfhed against one. otherwise they count as t10 and just can end in u getting t10 games with being the only t9 in

The wows playerbase wants secondary builds to be good and viable again, and we want more close range brawling and aggressive actions in our games But i think schleif took these wishes to far. Shes a bb, but with 2 mainz's on each side, and has a z23 on either side as well. I wouldnt be surprised if she gets nerfed. Ive played a couple of clan battles against her, and she would just w key into our spawn and pick up 2, maybe 3 kills by herself

the secondaries are strong but schlieffen has major downsides. the 420s feel like odin or agir 305s. decent against cruisers but serious penetration issues against bbs @ range. i am constantly getting nonpens & bounces on broadside bbs over ~14 km. defensively she is super squishy. do not go broadside to a bb. you will get wrecked. as an example i played a ranked game last night where a montana popped out from behind an island @ 15 km & caught me broadside. he proceeded to greet me with a 65k damage salvo. in a gk that would have been more than half less damage. definitely feels more like a cruiser when taking damage. also she withers under sustained fire from bbs. played well she is awesome. make any mistakes and chances are you will be punished hard. i think she is balanced.

nerf is coming in 5, 4, 3, 2, ....

Too much fun being had, the new line must be restored to proper back line battleship levels. We will have to nerf the secondaries

so, in otherwards, get your schlieffen now while it's still good and fun to play, because you know WG will nerf it if it's too much fun.
