I’m with you on that! When he was playing with the mute, I couldn’t help but wonder what Gil Evans and Miles Davis might have done with these melodies like they did with their version of Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez (Sketches of Spain).

Beautiful version. With the full orchestra, the solo melodies mostly go to the Concert Master (1st Chair violinist) but you two do cover the major points with great feeling!
