Recorded in the famous acoustics of Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Volker Hartung and his Cologne New Philharmonic Orchestra present a brilliant and vivacious performance of Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic masterwork „Scheherazade" from „1001 Nights". Slovak violinist Stefan Filas plays the maginficent violin solo, German cellist Guido Schiefen is heard with the solo-violoncello part.
