Picture yourself in an airport waiting for a plane where you take this spinning wheel out and spin. I found this wheel may be portable, but I find there are way too many parts to monkey with when assembling and disassembling. Spins nice, but I agree with you on the cons.

I would find it difficult to get my mind into spinning where there is a lot of distractions anyway. I like being alone and letting my mind drift when I’m spinning or knitting. I really think the portable part is for packing for trips like a vacation or where you go and stay a while at another place.

4vrceltic I’m sorry to be so late answering. I wanted a quality wheel with expandability that was portable. This company produces excellent quality. I was not disappointed. It is a plus that some parts are exchangeable between some of the wheel models. Hope my answer helps.

theresa mcpherson This is a spinning wheel. I will try to get a video ready to demonstrate using it after I finish my Fermented Food Series. It is the most relaxing and restful hobby.
