I m wondering, why do the wheels and tracks rotate even when not utilized? Isn‘t that wasting energy and maybe even lead to safety issues (depending on the occasion ofc)

That's indeed very interesting! The reason is that we are running both with the same motor. If we wanted them to run separately, we would need a clutch or an additional motor. This would not necessarily be more efficient in the end. It is not dangerous because we have implemented all the safety precautions. Does that clarify your questions?

Hi there! Depending on the selected equipment, Scewo BRO is available from CHF 36'000. This price is comparable to the purchase of a power wheelchair in the same segment and an additional stair climbing aid. May I ask you where your from? Best, Natalie from Scewo

@@fabiolicius this is comparable to another electric wheelchair combined with a stairclimbing aid. In Switzerland for example, often the insurance pays at least a part of it. I am not sure how this works in Italy but maybe there is also a possibility to get financial aid if the price is too high for you? I'm curious, about some of the choices that were made in design in this wheelchair. First I am a wheelchair user, I've been in a wheelchair for 30 years, I'm also a user experience designer in a very large research in a well-known tech company. Some of the design choices you don't make any sense at all for people with disabilities. Why would you have a wheelchair that porpoises forward and backwards when coming to a stop or accelerating. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen, most people in wheelchairs would lose their balance and it would be difficult to use myself included. While I like many of the design choices that you've made there seems to be a few that are just inexplicable. Like the hand control. By placing the buttons close to the bottom you've now disenfranchised most users with limited finger function. How are you to use something when you can't reach it over the top of the hand control itself. Where is the remote control, why wouldn't you use the application on the phone to operate the wheelchair instead of a multi button external device that is going to be completely useless for anybody with limited hand function and these are the people who are going to be the majority of your market. Somebody in a manual wheelchair will not use this, they have many other cheaper options and they can often navigate stairs without issue. These are just a few of the things I could see from the video I'm guessing there's many more other things that I haven't been able to identify just from seeing it online. While I applaud your forward thinking and ideas, we need more of this in the industry I think that you're heavy on engineering and light on user experience. Thanks I hope that wasn't too brutal Pete

Hi Pete Thank you very much for your detailed and very honest feedback! We are already working on some of the problems you mentioned, for example the remote control as well as the interface. We are in a very early stage of development and are still figuring out some things. We are always testing new functions with our customers and then implement their feedback in the development of the product. If you detect any further problems please let us know, we love to get direct feedback! Thanks again and maybe you will have the chance to try out our wheelchair and can give us even more feedback! Kindly, Natalie from Scewo

@@scewo_official hi sorry if it came off as harsh in my critique. I do truly believe he has some interesting stuff here, there is a lot more that I'd like to point out. I don't think this is the appropriate place to do that kind of thing if you felt like reaching out to me, I'd be happy to consult at no cost at all. I am a quadriplegic and a user experience expert working in the technology space and I've worked with some very notable people with disabilities. I am just hoping that the technology that you have your won't go away, we need more ideas like this and if there's anything I can do to help you move the ball forward please let me know.
