@ 3:00; Charlie in awe again. I love how both these men have so much to learn from one another. Frank learns of courage and character. Charlie learns how to talk to women. In the end both men have grown and benefited from one another's friendship. A great story.

Never has a blind man been portrayed so excellent on the big screen...My poor Pappaw who killed 12 Japanese in WW2 in hand to hand combat and hundreds more with the Gatling guns - I have the men's wallets and watches as well as 9 gold teeth He took back with Him to this day - was an amazing artist until Glaucoma left him completely blind...He was left not able to see ANYTHING and I remember his mannerisms well as I walked with him down the hall of the Veterans Home.... Shit. Remembering this has got me crying on this ugly Monday afternoon. I love you Pappaw...😭Guy Coleman Junior was his name....Ill never forget you or Granny Jane!!!! 😭
Al Pacino & Chris O'Donnell. 2 brilliant performances and actors 😉 . RIP James Rebhorn (Mr. Trask) as well as Philip Seymour Hoffman (George Willis Jr.) . Long overdue condolences to the families for your loss 😟 . By the way. Frances Conroy is a stunning redhead 😁

Indeed! He played a great Prick. A pricks prick if you will
While its not my favourite movie, but I do love the details that Al Pacino does with his body. With his hands, when finding the edge of the desk, or searching for his cane, there is a quick but subtle searching motion. It is very low key but incredibly accurate, like he's very used to doing quick 1-2 stab searches, than slows down when he finds the object. He does it with glasses putting them on as well, he also does it when taking steps...not overplayed, not underplayed, incredibly subtle, incredibly masterful performance. He also does it when he talks, he looks askew, then changes angles, and again, never quite meeting eyes, but definitely knows roughly where the person is.

There's not enough Charlies in this world.
Wow. I'm seeing this scene after 20 years or so. What's even more emotional than the scene is that the values that this bit embodied do not exist today in the world. The world's gone backwards. Lying hustling stealing...whether it's us Joe Publics or our elected officials. Thats what really hits me. Think about it....this movie would not be released today because nobody would understand it.

A "Scent of a Woman Part 2" is not required : we know Frank Slade met Ms. Down again. It's pretty obvious she dies to go back to him. :)
What I like about movie scenes like this is to see the sullen looks on the "old guard", because they know the kind of people they are deep down and they have witnessed similar injustices back in their day, they were probably even the perpetrators, when they see a righteous act performed in front of them the shame gnaws at their souls and agitates like an uncomfortable rash that they can't scratch.
Still the SAME TODAY. SAD WORLD..........

everything seemed fine until 2016...let's put that circus in the back window and move forward
You could tell the teachers in the front row are just as bad as Mr Trask when they show disgust in the students applauding then cheering after the decision is made.
Another battle fought and won.

The hoo ahh made that movie complete for me. The kid also kind of reminds me of Leonardo DiCaprio.. there is a similarity...
I know this is 'only' a movie but... how many times in this world do we all dream of a win like this? Yes, Pacino's finest. Ms Dowd stood tall and said it the way it should be said not swayed or intimated by Mr Trask. The boys jubilant reaction bore testament to the committee's findings. Miss Downs - you don't need to see to appreciate elegance. Micky Downs' loss!!
