We drove from Christchurch, to Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki, all the way to Mount Cook National Park (the highest mountain in New Zealand!) where we stopped by and went on a hike!
It was a perfect, sunny day to film this video. Will definitely fly back to the South Island in the winter… See ya, Queenstown! 😍

I am mightily surprised you did not stop at the mountain and go for a walk (your notes say you "went on a hike" - but you did not. The car was never parked and the filming was continuous.) I remember going there some 30 to 50 years ago (OK. I'm almost 80 now), and the walks available were fantastic. You have missed out on a lovely expedition.

Hey, it depends on which part in the North Island you’re going. In most cases, I think it would take you almost a day (including the car ferry ride to sail across)
