One of the best places to see autumn foliage in Vermont is Smugglers Notch. It is located on Vermont Route 108 Mountain road. Peak fall foliage along Smugglers' Notch typically lands from the last week of September to early October. However, it can vary depending on the year. Love it. I was born in the Berkshires of MA. As a kid on a small farm, I was outside in touch with nature on all levels. Autumn was my favorite. The blazing rock maples colors stunned me for a moment while I was chasing the cows back to pasture. We would let the cows graze on the hayfields during the day and drive them back to the pasture late afternoon. It was during these times when I saw the best of the colors, because I was outside a lot of my time with farm work every day. Many thanks. I have sense moved to the west.

If you don't mind me asking where was your starting point and end point in Vermont 108. Is there a fee to drive in VT108? There is another one the Auto toll you have to pay a fee. Which drive or road is better to view the fall foilage? I am planning to go this fall.

For this one, we started in Stowe: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJVm26ZqpcbadLA.html driving north on 108 with few stops: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJWg3KylddWsmMo.html stopped at Smugglers Notch for walk: kzread.info/dash/bejne/X3x7z7ejoqepm7g.html and continued to drive north back to Canada
Very nice video. Unfortunately video quality in many cases is not good, too many pixeled images due to (probably) hard compression. Try using a better quality compression.

@@stefanodivi73 You can always change Setting of the video no matter where you run - by clicking on Setting icon at the bottom right corner of video and choose Quality, 2160P60 (4K) is the best if you have good internet connection and good device

@@lvfreeAdventuresoh i see. Did you drive the whole length of smuglers notch rd? Im wondering if it needs to be driven all the way to the end or some area is only the scenic part. In your observation Do you think around the 11th or 12th of oct is still the right time to see fall foliage. Im coming around this time. Hope weather is ok too.

@@ivanalo580 Once you are at the top, you can walk around, after that the descenting part is beauful for couple miles and then it's flat and not as beautiful.

The music is nice, but hideous for this video. I want to take a drive, a fun drive, NOT take a nap. I want to see the leaves...but scrolling on for dif music. Classic hits of the 70s, preferably.
