David Wain and Ken Marino are the best known regular members. Both of them are great! But the rest of the band? Holy crap! They may be comedians but this ain’t no joke!

I heard Weird Al say in an interview that he tried to join his friends' bands when he was a kid and no one would let him because he plays the accordion. But now, 50 years later, he found a band that wants him!!!!

I love the story that Billy Joel tells about the genesis of this song. It originally started out as THREE separate songs, but he couldn't finish any of them. Then one day, he was having dinner at an outdoor cafe, wrestling with the lyrics, when his waiter asked him, "Bottle of red? Bottle of white?" And the thunderbolt HIT! Joel stared at the waiter and shouted, "THANK YOU!" And the song started to fall into place.

@@oaf-77I thought I read (or heard?) in an interview that he doesn’t take ideas so as not to get embroiled in “I thought of it first he stole my idea from me” situations. The only exception was apparently Madonna asking him when he was going to parody her. But I could be wrong. Maybe it was only in a dream. As real as it could seem. No wait not going there! I’ll be cliche. Yeah, I came for Weird Al in the thumbnail. I stayed for Ken Marino and David Wain. I come back nearly every night for the whole band. I’m freaking obsessed. I have watched nearly all the vids, this is the one that just slays me. Every member of the band has a moment where I yell out “this is my favorite part!”

How you know Al is truly great is that he was perfectly happy to sit in the back and let everyone else be the star. He lent his name and his accordion but didn't even try for the spotlight.

Ken absolutely crushed this. 🤘

My daughters' mother loved this song. She passed away in August of '22, two weeks before her 37th birthday. Rest in peace, Luna. I miss you.

Every. Single. Musician. nailed their parts! But that pianist on those solos was terrific! So nice, I watched it twice.

Yep. Although I was listening to a playlist of The Kiffness before this. It’s hard to beat jamming with singing cats. I’ll put it on par, though!

I loved Al mugging right before the big piano break. "No surely he's not going to attempt?...god speed brave pianist". Even Billy has to shake his hands out after that part.
