We went to war because Britain was boarding our ships including a warship. Nearly we ent to war with France. Went to war with germany in WWI because they sank a ship carrying embargoed weapons. Germans put out newspaper adds to discourage ameicsns from traveling on it. British lied about having those weapons on it for many years even though it was on the manifest. I am not a fan of embargos because under intenational law that is a declaration of war. Presidents cannot declare war only congress. Embargos are unconstitutional without Congressional approval.😢😢😢😢
