I used to work & stay there in Sandakan for like 2-3years. I personally love NAM CHAI bak kut teh.. There are lots of good food in Sandakan and the local are really friendly too. I miss this place so much!
One time alcohol poisoning with the Indians so west Malaysia not allowed to sell homemade wine openly. Bak kut teh is west Malaysian creation. Loved the two layers intestine which I seldom see nowadays.

Hot areas in KL many well known delicious Bak Kut Teh! Even in KK only you know where to find. Town area shophouse can even survived with high rental shops.

@@rosalindwong9609 There are few of Hokkien langs moved from WM to Sabah for opening Bak Kut Teh business. Even would seen some Klang brands at KK rural areas like xxx Xiang

山打根在70年代是全馬最多百万富豪的城市,想想看70年代的百万相等於现在的千万富豪
詢問過許多當地人,山打根的華人後裔大部分都是來自香港的客家人,其餘的有潮州人,廣府人和水上人。
酒酿可是上海人日常補身用的,尤其是天冷的早餐

那叫鮸鱼。以前闽南和台湾有一种说法,一鮸,二午,三嘉腊。鮸鱼是排名第一的鱼,第二是午鱼 (也就是马友鱼),第3是嘉腊鱼

泥鯭很腥臭平常没什么人喜欢吃,不过,这种鱼在农历新年期间产卵季味道变得极其鲜美,肚子里都是白子,价格也水涨船高,因为这原因也叫发财鱼或拜年鱼,这季节的泥鯭多数出口新加坡,马来西亚市场反而少见。
沙巴是客家人喜欢黄酒鸡。而且黄酒是甜的。
黄酒鸡有点甜的应该是偏于客家菜吧

Scarlet 穿酱必须叫水果肉骨茶
当然是叫肉骨茶, 只是我们有偏药味 还是偏酱油味的肉骨茶。为什么酱油, 喝了没负担, 药材汤喝多了上热,口干, 酱油味的想喝多少就喝多少, 比较温和。汤就是肉骨茶熬出来, 只不过馅料可以选,就好像我把鸡汤的鸡肉拿走,放了面, 不就是叫鸡汤面, 海鲜肉骨茶 是妥妥的。

纯的黄酒鸡是没加水的, 是完全黄酒的,就不懂中国客家 的 黄酒鸡是不是酱的味道
