I think the "Ignore it" one was interesting, because it could be like a skeleton in the closet, like a family issue that they think as long as they ignore it, it will go away, but it slowly destroys their family.

My initial suspicion was that the lady was a Child Protective Services home visitor. You're supposed to ignore them, but obviously it's hard to pretend and the dad's outburst seemed to indicate he was trying to keep his anger under control. I don't know how it holds up at the end, but if the kid doesn't understand the reality of the situation, the lady could be seen as someone that pulls the family apart.

I remember the “Ignore it” creepy pasta and how someone theorized that the “woman” was supposed to represent someone that the father was having an affair with, and how the wife and children are expected to pretend she doesn’t exist for the sake of the family. That’s why the mother is the one who eventually tries to kill her, thinking it would solve the problem when it just makes things worse.

Personally I adored the ideas for Ignore It and They Hear It. With Ignore It the idea of just having to sit there as some horrific entity terrorizes you and just hope it goes anyway is horrible - even though you know what will happen if you look at it, part of you still wants to anyway, just *shudders* I also loved the way in They Hear It that all the sounds become amplified when the monster is close. It's almost like a reverse of what you expect from horror monsters - you're normally straining to hear them and figure out if they're close, but with this one you always know when its nearby, but you never know where exactly it is because all the noise is so disorientating. Plus I do think it was the scariest and best executed in general, outside of the concept. It was the only one where I was taking the video out of fullscreen and turning down my volume because NOPE
@Nebula1146 Жыл бұрын
The creators of “they hear it” did a good job at leaving the monster up to your own imagination until the last second rather than being a jumpscare fest like other movies. I think that’s a more effective form of horror for me rather than seeing the threat directly, ironlung does a good job at that too and it actually scared me. (Thx for the likes btw)

I read a creepy pasta once where a boy and his friend were camping. There was a deer in the river, and they could just see it’s head poking out while it swam. It came towards them, and as it emerged from the water, his friend faced him and said “don’t look at it. Pretend it’s not there.” So the boy just sees it over his friend’s shoulder. It comes out of the water on two legs, and walks just behind his friend. Starts making noises. Freaking metal.

"ignore it" is a concept that genuinely chills me to my spine, just thinking about the scream it made when the mother acknowledged it and the sounds the mother was making, you knew she was dying but the sounds made you realize just how painful and uncomfortable her death must have been, i think if they made a full horror movie out of this it would be best selling and one of the scariest things out there, as i said before, the mystery of the mothers death while also knowing how much she suffered is a terrifying aspect

I’m not sure if this is what you were referring to, but that’s how I felt growing up with emotionally abusive parents. I dared not look at them, or acknowledge them, or make the slightest sound around them, because I knew if they were in the wrong mood they’d snap at me. I learned to ignore the looming threat they posed, as to not draw attention to myself. I’d try my best to pretend they weren’t there, even when they were storming through the house, hitting things and screaming at the top of their lungs, because I knew the second I made a sound or drew their attention in any way, all that anger would get redirected towards me.

It’s funny, I did something similar growing up. At night, whether the lights were on or off, I felt like if I was out of bed, monsters would get me. It wasn’t like I had to under the covers and hiding or anything, just that if I was caught out of bed by the monster at night, I would be torn apart or hurt or something, idk. I used to get up to go to the bathroom, try to hide on my way there, and would sometimes not even turn on the light and just bring a flashlight or handheld device that made light to reduce my visibility on particularly bad nights. Then I would quickly make my way bad and jump on my bed as if I was being chased so that they wouldn’t see me out of bed. It was a weird thing I did as a kid.

agree but they used the wrong sfx for the gate creaking, which kind of threw me off. A gate made out of wood and with only metal hinges would sound much like a wooden door when it creaks. The sfx they used was what you might hear from a gate that is entirely made of metal.

The sound design was definitely good when it comes to horror short movies but it's nowhere near professional work. The levels are all way too strong as per usual and you have the typical issues of echo in an environment where there's not supposed to be none or slightly different quality between sfx. The branches being crunched was the weirdest of them all by far, way too loud, detailed, the same sound despite different locations, added echo, it's very messy.

'Ignore it' was interesting. It's not that it's downright terrifying, but the fact that the more you try to ignore it, the more you can't. It made me say "don't don't don't" as I watch the family struggle. Trying to act nonchalant in a state of distress is incredibly hard. 'They hear it' was so good. The anticipation, the build-up... just knowing that something is wrong yet not exactly being able to see it until it's too late is incredibly terrifying. Also, loved the part with the kid disappearing into the shadows up until the end. I was so immersed I didn't realize I was holding my breath.

They Hear It was soooooo good. The camera angles were truly cinema-worthy, the soundtrack and SFX fit perfectly (particularly the wet footsteps in the house and the movement in the brush). The actors, despite being kids, did a very good job and were not corny. The constant suspense was phenomenal, along with the film throwing us into uncomfortable situations. Not to mention the alien itself was terrifying due to its stellar makeup work. 9.5/10

It is cinema-worthy is good, considering it is basically a proof of concept for an actual movie. Kinda feels like Signs, if that movie were more committed to being straight up horror (I like Signs a lot, but it is intentionally trying to be more than just scary, and mix in pathos with a story about a family man finding faith again; whether or not it succeeded at all that is where the debate lies (movie definitely has some standout scenes, though).

So as a person who has done shrooms, the effects are fairly accurate, part of the reason she was feeling how she was, most likely was because she was having a bad trip. Which bad trips can be terrifying. My most memorable bad trip is i start having a splitting head ache and i felt like spiders were crawling all over me. With a bad trip you can see stuff and feel stuff and its honestly like walking through a nightmare.

I’ve never done shrooms, but I’ve had a panic attack while high and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. I begged my fiancé to take me to the hospital, and looking back, that’s ridiculous. But in the moment, all I could feel was impending doom. Like something was horribly wrong. It felt like I was having an allergic reaction or a heart attack and I was going to die. That experience made me stop taking anything that could possibly alter my senses, cause just the possibility of that looming dread and feeling of complete and utter hopelessness coming back scares the ever living shit out of me. I wouldn’t wish that feeling on anyone.

Themes of betrayal of trust, warping of reality and distrust in reality, as well as the sheer beauty and terror of the sky. Also, having recently lost my own mum who I had a hard relationship with, it resonated with me and felt very real. Edit: They Hear It was absolutely incredible! I think the main reason she had walked into the threat was because she had to find her brother. That closing shot with the monster reflecting off the glasses was superb. Never seen that before, very impressive.

“They Hear It” was phenomenal. The fact that it’s getting turned into a feature film makes me even more excited. Definitely will be seeing that when it comes out.

The story behind Ignore It is one I've heard before in creepypastas online. (It's not a new concept admittedly, literally down to it being a woman and the youngest son being the main character we follow.) However, they did it really well. Also, anyone else cope with trauma with distractions? Cause I know thanks to that, I'd be HELLA good at ignoring her tbh, even if I have ADHD like a s.o.b.

The sound design for the last one was what I loved the most out of the three. The subtle scream, the cracking in the woods, the fast footsteps, and the unique bang on the door.

“Don’t live near woods and you’re fine.” *nervous sweating.*

Watching "The Sky" really reminded me of some of the aspects of "Midsommar" and even "Annihilation". Themes of betrayal of trust, warping of reality and distrust in reality, as well as the sheer beauty and terror of the sky. Also, having recently lost my own mum who I had a hard relationship with, it resonated with me and felt very real. Edit: They Hear It was absolutely incredible! The last one had amazing suround sound features. nothing gets me more than listening to an atmospheric short video you know will contain horror
"Just don't live near the woods and you'll be fine" Rip everyone who lives in an area known for their forests lmao
Thanks so much for checking out The Sky. Glad you enjoyed it. I'll put Aliens in the next one :) Recently just released Catch Your Breath which I think you'd love!

Just wondering but what was the idea behin it like was the fate of the characters sealed from the start or was the outcome based on certain events

What exactly was the thing ripping the Earth apart? Up until the explosion at the end I thought it'd be a micro black hole, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the great horror. It really got me invested by starting at the end rather than the beginning

Lord Janus protect us! Strengthen our doors!
i dont know why because i find it hilarious but i cannot find anybody that is talking about how jack said "never have i ever shit myself" then chugged a big sip while making crying noises 😂
Love how he said stay frosty 😂
It’s such a nice rainy day for a scary video with Sean. Cuddled up in my blanket with the fire on, I’m ready!

"They Hear It" was borderline Hollywood quality. I would watch a full production of that. 9.5/10. *Note: I took half a point off because the sister was a stereotypical horror character and walked directly into the threat lol*

I think the main reason she had walked into the threat was because she had to find her brother. When she noticed he was missing she went back into the woods even after having avoided them previously when the dog ran into the abyss, she heard his cry and ran inside. So I think her running directly into the threat was more of a "I must find my brother" thing, rather than her blindly going in.

She wasn't stereotypical, though. When she first heard the noises, she ran. She didn't investigate until she noticed her brother had gone missing.
"Ignore it" *Everyone in the house stares at it.*
I have watched so much of jack that my cat starts purring whenever I watch him
The buildup of suspense will always be 100x scarier than a good old fashioned jumpscare
Can't wait for the _"mama"_ part to make its way into the collection of Jacksepticeye Clips.
23:25 what if it wasn't the creature but Freddy's face just flickering with the music box playing toreador march
Imagine being the kids’ mom coming home to no one. That’s all I can think of tbh.
