​@@sanmerz844 It's not really a theory, it's critical thinking/philosophy. Essentially Descartes said that if you can doubt something, then it's basically false and you would need to move a step back until you get to a point where nothing can be doubted - which would be an absolute truth. However, the issue is that you go all the way back to the point where you're just a brain... Your eyes can be tricked and therefore you cant trust what you see. Your touch can be random or unstimulated so you can't trust what you feel, same thing with all your other senses. Therefore, the only truth in the world (other than maths) is that you are able to think - hence the cogito. But, the tricky part here is that he mentions that even your thought can be puppeteered (brainwashed), but you can't really take it a step back sooooo everything has to start somewhere. And then from this he builds up the world around him. Been a while since I read up on it though so take it with a grain of salt. If you want more, look up David Hume and the problem of induction. Albert Camus and Sisyphus (or 'the absurd' as a whole). Or anything by Immanual Kant, but shit gets tricky.

14:00 jj just suddenly laughed and it freaked me out, i guess he thought something lewd about punish.

That brain in the jar one is similar to one of my greatest fears, what if when I was young I fainted or fell into a coma and everything I ever experienced is part of a dream, and then one day I’ll just wake up I’m an infant again and all of my life was a waste, or a second chance fail safe.

Ethan and Josh deserve so much praise for this. Both of them have come out recently about they battles with anxiety, and seeing them have to calm themselves down multiple times (Ethan by denying it and talking himself through it and Josh clearly changing his breathing patterns and adjusting his seating) while still firming it through the video is actually inspirational. I think it’s kinda weird to assume that’s what they’re doing though. Like looking for signs in their movement? It’s most likely nothing to do with anxiety but you’re assuming. If they do feel anxious while making these videos with their friends, that’s up to their friends and them to figure a way around that, not for us to search and pick apart for every single time they feel anxious.

@@aquasiox4033 I wasn’t even consciously looking for it. Josh was visibly uncomfortable anytime the camera switched to him, and you could hear Ethan’s shakiness. I understand your point, but when they have both been very open and honest about their anxiety up to this point, and seeing them break their normal charismatic characters multiple times is a tell tale sign that they are anxious. As someone who has to deal with anxiety and depression, I don’t know if I would be able to firm it like they did. I was having a hard time just watching the video. I still acknowledge and praise them for this video, and it’s been over a month since this video was released. I don’t want these two to feel like I’m looking for them to be anxious, that’s not the case. However, it was easy to see that they were anxious, and I applaud them and appreciate them for being an example to me on how to just push through those times of anxiety.

@@layc3515 he went public with his battles with depression and anxiety in a very big way during one of his Reddit videos, even sharing a very personal story that he explains better than I ever could. Made me tear up. It makes me proud of how far he has come, and why you will never see me even joking that “Fat Behz was better”, because he doesn’t deserve that. He deserves to be praised for the work, both mentally and physically, he has done for himself.

There is a kdrama called "extraordinary you" in which all of them are comic book characters, and they can only act and say things that the "the author" wants but few people are aware of themselves and want to act on their own and change their fate or endings, for example the main female lead is destined to be with a guy as that is what the writer wants but she doesn't like him but likes another guy who likes her back and she is destined to die of heart problems so she tries to changes her fate of dying and sometimes i wonder what if all of us are in a comic book

You probably need 1 sun and a Dyson sphere to Render a Planet the size of the Earth. Just like a video game we compress files to a smaller size so the computer can read the "instructions" more efficiently. Like on a loading screen, the game has to first render in the surrounding areas and then the players can join in that specific area. Anything outside that specific rendered area would just be a waste of energy. So objects outside our observable view could possibly be nonexistent until we observe it to conserve more power than needed.

I relate to Josh so much in this, I get so panicky whenever I watch this kinds of videos

A question: wouldn't the black hole theory automatically provide an explanation for the expanding universe? Like, the closer to the event horizon an object is, the faster it moves in comparison to its surroundings, which means it moves away, thus creating the illusion of the perceiveable universe moving away from us, while it's just being sucked in slower than us? Or am I just dumb?

I believe in simulation theory, VR is getting better and better and is aiming to be more realistic, and technology will never just "stop advancing" We will either take it to the point that we cant tell it from reality - or the world will be destroyed (nuclear war etc.) - and the chances that we are in the very small period in time that simulations are being first made is actually extremely unlikely?
