I LOVE this one. I have two cats that have done a version of this to my couch. Part of why I love Simon's cat is because it reflects the things my cats do.

the claw through the couch part was the best in my opinion.

ROFL the cat's eyes when he sprays the sofa. Too darn funny

just as a warning to people, it's really dangerous for cats to get under chairs like that. one of my cat's died because it slipped under a chair while my mom wasn't looking and it got crushed when she put the footrest down. there's lots of metal pieces and springs and shit under there that move whenever the chair does (especially in ones that rock) so always make sure your cat doesn't get under there.

I cracked up when the cat sprayed on the couch pillow!!

It would be even funnier if the owner sat on the sprayed side,the look on his face!😸

This is hilarious, anyone who doesn't think that cats get up on, scratch and then pee on furniture are in denial. (rubber sheets on all my couches)

Other than waking up with huge cat eyes staring right back at yours, but that's not the worst part. The cat put a dead spider in your mouth as a sign of affection and you return the affection by screaming and flailing around with absolute terror.

The part when Simon's cat scratches the side of the furniture and then crawls under the couch immediately because he knows he did a bad thing. That's the best part, especially the sounds.

Out of all he Simons cat vids I've watched this is by far the funniest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***** That's good. Declawing is torture to a cat. Claw clipping is good from time to time, but I would never NEVER leave my cat so defenseless and in pain as to take the entire claws out. That would be like us having surgery to take our finger nails off. If I wouldn't do it to myself, I wouldn't do it to my cat.

MsPandacakes Definitely! Declawing is actually more dramatic than removing a fingernail, they actually remove the whole last bone so it is more equivalent to removing everything up to the first knuckle on a person.

John Pursey I know. I've had cats my entire life and not one of them have or ever will be declawed. But clipping from time to time actually can help claw growth, just can't do it unprofessionally.. don't wanna snip too deep and make them bleed

Yeah, took two female cats on vacation and the younger one decided it would be a great idea to pee in my closet... Granted, there was a litterbox in there for the older cat, who had some age-related issues...But the younger one ignored it at first... (And no, I didn't keep my clothes in there. They were in the dresser.)

Yesterday, I had to make a difficult decision. After thirteen years with my best kitty named Jigsaw, I had to put her down because she was suffering from cancer. I used to watch Simons cat with her all the time, especially while she was sick. She would purr and sometimes Simons cat reminds me of the silly things she would do. Today, I am watching some videos and I can't help but to smile and remember how sweet it is to have a cat to share these moments with ♡ Thank you Simons cat for creating videos for cat lovers (: Your videos have a special place in mine and Jigsaw's heart.

AttentionJunkie outdoor pets are actually a really bad idea. They poop in other peoples gardens and yards, spray stuff, fight other pets (which wakes people up and can be dangerous), can be eaten by predators, carried off by large birds of prey (which does happen, even in cities and is a HORRIBLE death as they are ripped to shreds in the air by the bird to keep them from struggling), brutalized by terrible people, mistook as strays and taken to shelters, get injured on peoples’ junk and tools and stuff, get hit by cars, stuck somewhere,( like in a tree) or freeze/get heatstroke. And more. Outdoors just doesn’t work for domesticated pets, but by all means, do take them out on walks in carriers or on harnesses, just don’t let them out unsupervised. :) also, these dangers aren’t uncommon. Most of them I am aware of because I have seen it happen, or know people who have. :(

at 1:10 absolutely hillarious when kitty sprays the couch- oh man, are they so guilty of this. i have 3 male cats in my house and they keep me constantly on guard about this. ---so funny how simon's cat's eyes change at that moment---the behavior captured is so accurate--that's just how they are--but we still love these kitties!

To be fair guys, the only two times we've seen the cats do that (spread their eyes out) was when they were dropping a deuce. Considering the facts that no prior evidence suggested that Simon's cat wasn't neutered, that nothing visible came out of the cat's behind this time, and that cats do in fact release gas from said behind like most creatures (one of my cats has a nasty habit of farting whenever he gets scared), it's understandable that the guy thought it was a fart. But now he knows. Now that I think about it though, perhaps this is foreshadowing a possible underlying reason as to why Simon's cats are going to the vet aside from the typical checkup. That, and I'm half curious and half afraid of what the cat was going to do if the other cat in the Valentine's special actually took a liking to him and if she wasn't spayed (not sure what happens if a cat who hasn't been neutered and a spayed cat love each other very much...probably nothing)...cute kittens would be had, I'm sure, but sad as it is, most people don't want to put up with a pregnant cat. Or maybe I should tell myself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

***** Neutering doesn't necessarily prevent spraying. I've had neutered cats spray indoors, especially when they were feeling anxious.

My mistake then. I was going off of what MsPandaCakes said since (s)he stated that male cats who weren't neutered spray and assumed that was in fact a...fact...anyways just goes to show that Benny Hill knows his stuff about making assumptions.

mine still mark the couch despite being fixed, having clean litter boxes. We've tried double sided tape, orange smells, aluminum foil, squirting the cat with water when we see them on the furniture and NOTHING works. We already lost two couches to the cats cause we couldn't get the smell/stains out no matter what we used. But we love our kitties, so we just do what we can.

Hm... we have recliners, and when we sit on them with our legs up and a blanket on, the cats like to hide underneath and smack each other when another walks by :P Also I'd never dream of not letting my kitties on the couch with me. One of them loves to sit on the arm while I'm sitting there. My cats never scratch on our furniture either. We have enough cat trees that it isn't an issue.

PREZZER UK Is there carpet on the scratching posts, or is it cardboard? Until we got this weird sort of... rope-like texture (it's not exactly rope), one of mine liked to scratch at carpet. Some cats can be very picky.

LaughingOwlKiller Yes to some cats, but I've found most cats have a particular material that they're really fond of, and not all cat towers or scratching posts have it. Some cats also have preferences for horizontal and vertical scratching so that can influence as well. One of my girls loves to stretch up, but the other one likes to stretch forward, so they each have a different type of scratching piece. One I've found that's really popular is a S bend, except not standing up, on its side.
