Io penso che questo sia uno Scania 164L 580. Lo dico perché lo riconosco dalla strumentazione dello sterzo e del display. I think this is a Scania 164L 580. I say it because I recognize it from the equipment on the steering wheel and the display.

mm, because its opticruise transmission. So it means that it is robotic non- synronised gearbox which is shifted by robot. it works automaticly or you can choose the gear you want for. There is cluch for stopping and moving. You don't need to use that when shifting. Transmission is basicly the same as Eaton Fuller technology, only main difference that instead of human arm moving shifter, there is robot putting right gear on the right time.

This is the Opticruise gearbox. He can chose between automatic or padshift. It is pretty much like the setup the DSG VW and Audi use.

+Jonathan Grunwald Yeah I was thinking the same thing. There's so much hype about their sound and they do sound cool but not straight piped. It sounds obnoxious without a muffler.

+jfdb59 well he is driving it wrong, he is driving it at high rpm, scania's work best at low rpm. and at low rpm they sound quit nice and relaxing.

heuhen Yeah, it always seems like videos are of guys running them up high and hard. I don't think I've heard them lug down low. But it makes sense. Cheers.

Scania and Volvo trucks works bet between 800 and 1400 rpm, while most truck drivers tend to take them up to 1600 rpm, Scania drivers love to go all the way up to 2200-2400rpm

well 1) hes got a auto box and most autos will max out at around 1600 rpm before changing up and also open pipes are usually valved so u can route it normally or open

I like to see a smile on a truckers face,but to deal with that noise for day to day driving for 12 hours,no f-k way,sorry.

You don't need to listen to it at all if you don't want to. There's a button on the dashboard that controls a valve in the exhaust system. It can either be switched to use the straight pipe or the stock exhaust. None of these drives have their straight pipe switched on all the time, it's just for the show.

You can mute the open pipe if you want with a button on the dashboard.
