Lmao, I was 100% thinking it was a hurdy gurdy, then I was like, wait, there's no spinny bit. It has notes that you push down sorta like an accordian, but oh gosh, you use a bow too, and it sounds like a violin a little. I truly love this odd hybrid

I'd imagine it so too. Valhalla is that part of the soul that takes pleasure in the spirituality of struggle, violence and death. It's a dark place, an eerie breeze of pain, anger, sadness, joy and pleasure all joined in a chilling harmony.. Being a norweigan I've heard this type of music all my life. And understanding how cruel mother nature must have been to live in here back in the old days it's no wonder this type of music came pouring out of our people tbh 😏

Close your eyes and it's some far off fantasyland, the last of the sun's light fading away gently. The flames are flickering in the distance in the sea from the funeral pyre of an old wise Viking elder, as it swims away in that boat. There are so many stars in the night sky, constellations you've never seen, and there's some unknown fear some unknown omen in the air. There's a storm coming.. brewing in the distance, you can hear the faint rumblings of the thunder and rain, like a warning, a premonition.. you take slow steps, your feet almost noiseless on the soft green grass swayed by the breeze and the cold kisses your cheeks. You can feel the drift of the scent in air. He must be getting close. You have to go. You must. It's going to get dark soon. You must set off before nightfall. The dark will keep you safe. The dark will keep you protected. You must go.

I have dream of one day making a movie about Charlse the 12th of Sweden with the opening scene showing him and his army staring over the russina wasteland with the nyckleharpa playing in the background. It would be a "the king" (netflix) type movie but I think it would be epic especially with the interesting life Charles lived.
