Such an inspiring book. There's a fella here on YT who made a legendary shanty boat trip years back that inspired me to build the shanty Beagle. I've been hooked since. Bis channel is "Wayne Diaries" though he seems go be MIA lately.

Sir, I have been watching your videos for abt/1yr. I enjoy the boat/ motorcycle adventures. Today I found a video something about Alaska. In this video I found why you spoke my language and why I find your adventures so captivating. I thought you were East Coast bread. Today I found out you are N.Cali bread. I'm from Snoopy land (if you get this reference?) My roots are even more north where weed is abundant. Btw I too can't do that herb. I get sick and super paranoid. Keep doing what you do and don't depart from being who you are. I would be interested if you shared where in N. Cali you are from if appropriate! Tks, Caleb

Thanks for taking the time to write this. I was born and raised in Grass Valley, California (the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas) it was a great place to grow up, but it got flooded with people and prices untouchable...so I moved to flyover country;) Weed is the #1 cash crop in my hometown, or at least until the government took it over.

Hey man, I never sleep in rest areas, truck stops and even quiet back streets are better. I think I've hotel'ed a dozen times in ny entire life. Paying to sleep! No way ;) I took the back seat out of my Tundra and the beagle and I sleep back there. Happy holidays too you buddy ;) when we gonna see you living in Ontonagon?

Dogs seem to dig rolling around in nasty stuff. Our mini pinscher loves to roll around in cow dung. We take him for walks and he loves to do this. Guess it's a dog thing.
