The Seymour Butts and "I'm in uranus" made me laugh so hard, my cat hid under the bed for two hours.

Best one I’ve had was when I was working with the police & when I asked them if they had the right number given that they’ve called Police HQ, they had the audacity to yell “STOP WASTING MY TIME” It was so unexpected I just cracked up laughing. 😂

I lost it with the Updog one. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When I first installed my chatting app I just blocked everyone, but then realized how much of a wadte thst was abd what I couldve done with them

"KEVİN!!" And the dentist one: "So you do not want an appointment?" Ahahaha xD cracked me up xD

That one where the scammer pretended to be the person's arrested mother was hilarious XD.

I posed as an IRS agent recording their call when they called me to scam me. Stated I owed the IRS a bunch and they were taking me to jail. When I said that’s funny, I’m an actual IRS agent and I’m recording the call they yelled so many profanities I couldn’t count. Best day ever!

I got that call where they found a white Toyota Camry, rented under my social security number on the Texas border with 22 Bank cards, cash, blood and cocaine. I was like what happened to the body? The scammer said no body only a lot of blood. I was like whew... good thing my guy ditched the body... you can keep everything else BUT I'm gonna need that coke back. He got so mad.😆

I did the same,but started off asking him to repeat what he said,then asked him what part of the building he was calling from? He asked what I meant,and I said,”You claim to be calling from the IRS,but if you were,this would be an internal call.” He hung up quick! 😂

@@stephendeane7509 I dodged that by not saying I was an agent. I just said if he was an agent calling from where he claimed, then this would be an internal call. I could have been the receptionist. It just freaked him out and made him hang up.

I had one recently. I received a nonsensical text about a job, with a terrible picture. I told her that was the worst photoshop I have ever seen. Try again. I think I may have been too harsh because she didn't reply. I was just trying to help.

A few of them seem like legit mistakes, but the rest…geez! I’d still be afraid to respond as good as scammers are getting.

I had one that seemed like a legit mistake... they said they were trying to contact someone who I was able to identify as a real person who did some kind of consulting work in my area. But as soon as we established that I wasn't who they were looking for, they asked if we could be friends. That's not normal. Don't be fooled 😬

I'm not even remotely surprised that a scammer couldn't even spell "Ireland" correctly...

I had one asking me to leave positive reviews at hotels I haven't visited. I said it was 'fibbing' but asked if I could I not make more money leaving shitty reviews on the hotels' competitors websites. I then asked for a finder's fee for the idea if no one had come up with it already.

Some of these and my occasionally wicked mind almost makes me want to unblock spam sensors on phone...but not entirely 😂

Now see, this right here is a great place that one of those shizzy AI voices could have read me all that text, I mean, what other good are they for so far?

AT&T will only allow a limited amount of blocked numbers, so for me every male scammer is "Sanjay" and every female scammer is "Gita, and they always get a "Namastite"- Hindi for Get lost!, Screw you!, Get bent!, etc...

Next time I get a scam text, I should type in what they say to Cleverbot and reply with whatever it says.

Taking notes on some of these. The best one I ever got was from a "Chinese bodybuilder" who texted me a photo from a gym..showing me his "6-pack".😂😂😂😂

I don't think so. This is one I had a while ago: Them: Hey, I haven't seen you in a month. How are you Me: Hi, good morning. Do you have a minute today? (I took this from another scam text) Them: Hey, aren't you Linda the Grand Designer? Me: wrong number Them: Hi, there, it's Elita. Didn't you save my number? Me: Wrong number Them: I'm sorry, I may have accidentally entered the wrong number and it's embarrassing! Me: I think so Them: Thank you for your understanding, it was your reply that got me to the person I was looking for in time, thank you very much. Me: No problem. Have a good day Them: If you don't mind, we can be friends. What do you think? Where are you from? Me: No thank you. Goodbye Them: What's going on? Me: What's going wrong? They didn't answer after that. As you can see, there are some points that look like an honest mistake. But as the conversation carries on you can see they aren't behaving like someone who just made a mistake. They're looking to connect. Also it might be a bot, but that's hard to tell for sure.

You have nothing to feel guilty about. That person was going to try and steal money from you. Frankly, the time you spent texting with them was one less person that they could try to scam that day.

They mispell on purpose bevause a victim will be too focused to realise

More like they don't want to waste time on people smart enough to notice the mistakes and go, "Hey, this doesn't seem legit."

A lot of these were a-holes responding to legitimately wrong number texts.I quit watching halfway in.

Same. There's no reason to be rude about it, but there is a definite pattern, and if you don't immediately respond with something ridiculous you will see they don't behave like someone who made an honest mistake.
