Im in giza right now with a friend. As 2 dutchies, people see tourists as walking wallets. My advice from experience here is to either ignore them, say you dont speak English, or make up a fantastical story about how your tour guide u went with build the pyramids and played football with ramses II

I have already visited 6 Egyptian cities 💯 My advice: ignore the cities! haha! The smaller towns and villages are much more enjoyable

@@Vivid_200s I don't think anybody wants to come to Egypt to go to the new cities, that's probably why they are failing: New Cairo, 6th of October City, El Sheikh Zayed City.... People just wanna see the pyramids and ancient culture. They don't care about shopping malls and new junk.... We already have enough of that everywhere else haha! If the government can understand this, it would be better for everybody!

Same!! I booked a hotel for two weeks, but I didn't realise that 1-2 days is enough in this area! You have to dive in headfirst, see it all, then quickly run away again lol! Many of the hotels by the pyramids use fake pictures. The star rating system isn't honored either. A 4 star hotel would be a typical 1-2 star hotel. There is a huge rich/poor divide. Most of the upper class seem to stay within new cairo or random cities maybe 45minutes away from the Pyramids. The pyramids are surrounded by lower class and people working in tourism. I saw dead horses, dead dogs, harassment of tourists (more-so females), totally unregulated! Everybody is corrupt! If you do meet somebody nice, it's hard to know their true intentions. Not all hope is lost! We had a far better experience away from the Pyramids. We had a great time in Luxor. I'll get those uploaded soon! :) Thank you! 😊😊😁

How was I supposed to know BEFORE coming what it was like? lol

Imagine having one of the wonders of the world in your country and running entrance in to it like these doo. I went in 2004 and all my friends who go to Egypt I tell them to book some where else to go . And if they do go never ever go to the pyramids . It was the worst experience on a holiday I have ever had. I’m a bit of a handy man who’s never took shit of any one in my life it was very hard to contain my aggression with the scam artists
