I used to also receive quite a few scam calls per day until I took a leaf out of Pierogi's book and learn't enough Hindi so I could 1. Route all calls to the answer machine so I could easily vet callers and jump in to answer if it was a caller number I recognised. 2. Record a new answer machine message beginning in Hindi basically saying if you are a scammer hang up now and don't call here again as you will never be called back. 3. Recorded a followon message in English asking if they are a genuine caller to please leave a message for a callback. Within 2 weeks the number of scam calls dropped off the cliff to about 1 a fortnight or less.

So why can't you get law enforcement to subcontract Pierogi/SP? SP has far higher utility per dollar than government 'law enforcement' (which is useless).

@@YD-uq5fi it’s a lot more complicated than that. Most of the time law enforcement isn’t even made privy to the scam until after it’s been completed. Frequently victims don’t even file reports because they are too embarrassed. This is why Pierogi’s work is so important!

​@@susanvee1 do you think it would be possible to set up a 'scam prevention unit' (not for you to do this on your own ofc, but in general), one that doesn't try to solve scams after the fact but proactively seeks out scam bureaus and shuts them down and/or finds out information ofUS companies/individuals who work with scammers? Basically what these guys are doing haha.

@@eevee2411 That's a great idea. I've actually done this before as a banker. But I'll tell you this....the Privacy Act really put the brakes on banks being able to potentially stop someone from being scammed. For example....before...we would contact a family member if an aging parent was about to be scammed. Now bankers don't have the luxury of being able to do that unless the person is on their acct. Even then it's a gray area.

Weird DreamWorks horse photos, scammers panicking and having meltdowns just makes my day better. Thank you for all you and the entire Scammer Payback team do.

I stopped my friend from being scammed because of what i learned from you and your crew. After 40min of her being on phone i hear 30 sec of her conversation i immediately knew what was happening i told her what was happening told her to hang up. Scammer wanted to talk to me. Lol i learn few not nice words from your stream 😂😂 i told him that he said bad stuff also hung up on me... i told my friend to take her computer to real tech to have it clean. My friend was a teacher her hubby was in the service then a retired cop. They are retired because of you and the whole team i learned and appreciate everyone of the whole company

So....only posting here randomly. I was ALMOST scammed for $165,000. Only because u follow you did I realize it was a scam. People need to also understand how little protection the banks offer. Scammers gave all the power. When you see a text that says don't share this number, they mean it.

I like seeing how long I can keep them on hold, more of their time I waste the better. So I pretend to be older and a bit confused then say " ooo hold on I've got soup on the stove and it's boiling over" Let them listen to me make a sammich or grab a snack then I "forget" the phone call and see how long they will hang on before hanging up to call back. Then I do it all over again. "Oh I'm so sorry I've a bit of Alzheimer's and forgot, who are you again" ? Then after they go through the routine guess what... "Hold on there's someone at my front door" and oops, on hold again. Lather rinse repeat. Finally I let them know what's up and that I'm going to waste their time EVERY time they call. This has actually significantly reduced the number of calls I get from the scum. It's like they don't appreciate being misled, imagine that.

I almost got scammed yesterday and today i just blocked the person and he started texting me with different numbers and started texting me death threats. I am so scared about my safety and idk what to do 😭 these scammers need to freaking leave the world. Hopefully they would stop harrassing me. Just ignore and block them. They are off shore and cannot get to you. Change all your passwords and if they had taken over a computer or device, do not use that device and seek professional help to extract your files and do a clean wipe of the device and start from scratch. Get local help. Also let law enforcement know you are being harassed by telephone. It is a felony to do so.

It’s actually better it being public knowledge how to recover deleted files because there are more issues with innocent people and businesses needing to recover needed files. Also beneficial in digital forensics to help law enforcement. It’s not really significant enough that a number scammers would catch onto that and avoid getting payback.

I’m so thankful that you are doing this to the scammers and for us. I just received a letter with the letterhead for.Endurance extended warranty on my recently purchased vehicle. The letter indicated that the price would be going up $150-$500 for the year and I was to call a number. I called the number and they could not give me the make and model of my vehicle because they said someone could scam the information. And I ask, “how do I know you’re not scamming me? “Anyway, thank you! I did find out that these people were sending out these letters and my real warranty provider acknowledge that fact. Thanks again! I hope some of you viewers will be aware of this endurance scheme.
