Scalloping In Steinhatchee: A Gheenoe Adventure
Steinhatchee is a little town in the Big Bend Region of Florida. We brought our Gheenoe LT boat so we could enjoy the water to do some scalloping. The locals told us about the Big Grassy Island sandbar so we enjoyed some time on this beautiful sandbar too. We stayed at the Good Times Motel & Marina. They have 49 slips at the motel so we were able to keep the boat onsite with us. We caught our limit of scallops in about 1.5 hours. They were the largest scallops we had ever seen.

Nice video, I love my gheenoe and watching adventures on them! My wife and I scallop there and get a kick out of doing the same activity next to boats that cost a few hundred thousand.

Thanks. No, we have stuffed the bow a few times but never taken on too much water and we tend to be pretty cautious.

Thanks! We did buy it used and it's a 2014 so I'm not sure everything is still available. Here are a few features to mention. We have the Gheenoe LT25, low front deck, 4 leg aluminum center console with cooler frame, polling platform with seat (people have called it a Raptor platform but that's not on our paperwork), foot rest 15" up on console legs (Joel's favorite feature). Hope that helps!

Yes, we vacuum sealed and then froze them.
Nice fenders! I just bought a brand new LT 25 and I’m toying with how best to hang fenders. Would love to see some details on your solution. Any info is much appreciated!
