Your thoughts about Scalextric are spot on...they can be good or bad; it just seems that they keep getting away from producing real "race cars" (which I like) and are making more novelty items. That said, I'm glad they can continue to produce and sell them - so they can make money and maybe make more cars I actually like...😅🤣😂

Hello Pat! I just found your channel thanks to Lee's Slot Cars. I couldn't agree more about Scalextric. Ever since their prices went up, the quality control has gone way down. I have had issues with at least a half dozen cars in the last year plus. They are now the same retail price as a Slot It car here in the US, and I just can't justify the cost anymore. Now I will only buy new Scalextric if they are greatly discounted, and even then, I hesitate because of being disappointed in the quality. Cheers, I really like your channel, keep up the good work!

Hi Pat, great video and very good points put in a very good way. I totally agree with you buddy which is why I'm moving more to Slot it and NSR. A little more money and you may have to tinker with them a bit ,but wow ain't they great cars!!! Keep up the great work mate already looking forward to your next one 👍👍👍

You are right about the quality of Scaletric but they are not the only ones. Picked up my first Carrera recently, unboxed it and the rear wing was hanging off, fixed it and ran it for half a dozen laps and the wing fell off twice. Not good enough!

Yeah those two brands really have to lift there game

A lot of these companies dont care about the consumer anymore they only care about the money and adhering to guidelines for advertisers everything else irrelevant

I have a few scalextric I like the models but your right hiy and miss on performance. Price point don't match at all. Carrera has much better cars at that level of slot cars . Of course the higher end cars are adjustable so you can tweet them right for better performance so you can still sling of table into a million pieces but quality is there 😂😂😂. Great call out on scalextric. Love your stuff . Keep up good work.

Try a slot it .. got one from Bonza for $75 and it’s a little ripper, and I just subscribed as well champ 🤙

Why on earth people still even consider Scalextric as an option is beyond me? Yes they kinda started the hobby, but they simply have not moved with the times since the 90's! I don't see the relevance in Pioneer or Carrera either! Pioneer don't have the range and Carrera are too heavy. NSR, Slot-it, Revoslot, Sideways, Scaleauto, Policar, Thunderslot to name just a few ALL leave Scalextric, Pioneer and Carrera in the dust, IN MY OPINION.
