Thank you - will be a while before I make some more videos as I'm spending time on another hobby now.

Thank you guys - @DiveitRight - you can choose to change lanes at the cross overs. These cars are actually ghost cars meaning the computer is controlling them and they are changing lanes randomly.

Thanks iceman38704! @TutoScalextricEsp - the onboard camera is very small (and cheap) do a search on ebay for "keyfob spy camera" and that is what I used. I stick it on the car with a little "blue tack" which is putty like and also helps keep the camera steady.

Yeah. I guess you mean that in the future F1s would run so fast in corners that drivers would not be able to sustain the Gs and control at the same time such speeds that they would sit in the pits driving theire cars through remote control joysticks, while the cars would run on electricity provided by rails under the track and there would be only specific spots on circuit allowing overtakeing following the rails. I think that this would allow also reduction of cars and tracks size to reduce costs of building. At the end, there would be a fusion between RC top categories and F1, to the point that F1 cars and tracks would be around 1/2 scale. This would make it impossible to welcome thousands of spectators on track. After all, 99% of them would watch the races on 3D holograms or screens wherever they would be in the world. Only VIP and sponsors and obviously the teams would be allowed around the track. The 1 % of spectators left that would like to be on location, would have plenty of activities around the circuit and would watch the race from the paddock screens anyway

Hi Karl - if you are talking about what the keyfob camera cost, just do a search on eBay for current prices. The one I bought was about $12 US plus another $12 for the memory card

Very well done. Much better than my first rendition of the Circuit of the Americas. My second one is almost done, and looking forward to a much better video for that. Is that Ferrari one that you designed yourself, or did you mount a Carrera body onto a Scalextric chassis or put a chip in a Carrera car? I chipped Carrera Red Bull and Ferrari cars and trimmed the guides to run on my track, but they don't run quite as well as the native Scalextric on it.

Hey BigMacAndChips - tough to say as this is all some old track I've had for years. My guess is say $1,000 - but its pretty much a guess as its mostly recycled from an old 4 lane analog layout.

Where did you get all the Marlboro advertising hoardings on the fence? Scalextric doesn't put tobacco brands on its cars in case they're sold to kids, so I imagine they wouldn't make the hoardings either (although I have a Revell Trabant signwritten for a German chain of adult stores).

Tough to say as this is a downsize from my old 4 lane analog track that was about 3X the size. I reused the track pieces and table components, so its really hard to say what this layout cost in its current form. Guessing maybe $3K??? but really it is a guess.

Hey i got a scalextric sport f1 track, however the blue guide/brades, are knackered and the spring is broken (the one that makes it jump back to straight. So im currently using high resistant Ferrari F430s, as they use the standard black round braides. But these F1 cars use the 'old g37 blue short pin connectors', any advice on what to do and about the springs? Any help much appreciated

ok, i found that now the main 2 types of guides are the round ones, and the black short stem ones to replace the now extinct blue ones for my f1 cars. Any advice on how to change the self centring spring

Burgattti I've not done that repair - sorry. I'd suggest seeking that advice on one of the major slotcar boards like slotforum international or soltcarillustrated. Many more folks smarter than me there.
