Amazing. You just saved me from getting an f on my exams.
I had absolutely no idea how to solve scaling problems until I saw this video. Scaling theory, very well explained. Thank you.
I love watching your videos! They always help clarify what I learned in class because my teacher doesn't do a good job of explaining it. Thank you for all your help, these videos always help me study for my tests and exams :)
Thanks this is very helpful for my math test

when yu calculated the scale factor 2.25 of the cube is that the surface are of the first cube or the second cube
If I cube the scale factor of the original, will I get the volume of the new image?
Thank you so much!💕This helped me alot!🤗

But what if the problem has already set the two similar figures volume, and you need to find the scale factor? Do you just reverse the process from finding the volume of said figures or do you use another method?
@MariosMathTutoring
4 жыл бұрын
Ame, correct! You would then take the cube root to find the scale factor.
This is excellent

What if I want to find the area of a similar larger parallelogram? Do I just take the ratio of the lengths of one side of the parallelograms and square it to get the scale ratio for the area?

is there a way we can check that our answer for the area and volume is correct?
@MariosMathTutoring

Tasmim...it really depends on the problem...if it is an area or volume that is easy to calculate then you can definitely see if you did your calculations correct and used the scale factor correctly...
