My mom and I saw some of this on a road trip. We didn't know what we were looking at, but it gave us the weirdest feeling like something really bad had happened there. Turns out, from a human perspective something really bad did. I think humans pick up on things even when they don't know what it is. Seeing this view makes it so clear. Awesome video.

Absolutely brilliant video both artistic and demonstrative of the floods. Bretz would have shed tears of joy seeing this proof of his vision. We have toured this area via Road Scholar but only with a two dimensional view from the ground; this video tells the story much more vividly from the air. It is an homage to Bretz insight that he could visualize the third dimension view of the scene from two dimensional observations and maps.

As a truck driver, last year I traveled through Washington State to Sumner WA. On I-90 (Atlanta to Sumner) all the way through the state I saw topographical wonders I'd never seen before. Took my breath away! Seeing this video from a bird's eye view, makes my trucker's eye view at the time seem rather juvenile. This state of Washington is a geologist's/paleontologist's wet dream! Too bad Washington State's politics is so destructive & illogical... Nice video y'all put together here! Might I suggest some classic jazz (Herbie Hancock, Count Basie, George Duke, Mahavishnu Orchestra, etc) for background music, as it has an appropriate up-beat & tempo, commensurate to the wonderfully beauty & majesty this land imbues? Thanks!

Just imagine watching this with an asbestos drone when the flood basalts were rocking!! Imagine all that lava lit up at night!! Are the circular crater structures miocene volcanic remnants or a product of the Missoula floods? (eddies) Or did the floods just accentuate miocene volcanic structures? I thought Columbia flows were curtains of fire from fissures rather than round vents, so was surprised to see round structures. I WANT A DRONE!! Beautiful art!!

Might I ask, have you ever tried to market your work? You may not agree with all his findings, but Randall Carlson could use a man with your talents, as for all his knowledge of geology, his ability with presentations, photos, videos, and visual aids leaves a LOT to be desired!

@@swirvinbirds1971 I ran into Randall Carlson GEOREX and the Thunderbolts project ( 2 groups not related) videos from KZread recommendations after learning much from David Butler videos and also the fun Science Asylum, I watched Randall's video as a cross armed skeptic. lets face it, his videos are not highly stage-managed TED events, and at first glance you might think, tin foil hat, flat earthier "sorry tin foil hat flat earthier's" but that's just not the case. In a nutshell Randall Carson is saying that the melt was cause by a cosmic event not an ice dam breaking. He also gets into what the ancient myths may tell us about past deluges and upheavals, and possible messaging though geometry "some might call this numerology I am not sure at this point. Randall claims he has walked and studied the scab lands for 25 yrs, and I find no word is wasted when he lectures and he has a lot of information you my have never heard before or only part of. Randall states his ideas are a hypothesis and his motto is "If i'm bull$h!t!ng, prove me wrong" So rather then putting thumbscrews on a guy doing research and coming up with a different view, I wish all brave unbiased scientific minds would take a look at what he is saying, along with the Thunderbolts Projects: Symbols of an Alien Sky (Full Documentary) "not about aliens" Episode 2 Symbols of an Alien Sky: The Lightning Scarred Planet, Mars (Full Documentary) and Episode 3 Symbols of an Alien Sky: The Electric Comet (Full Documentary) And only after you watch, - DESTROY IT! - with science - if you can! And then make a video, I will be the first to watch it. I say this with all sincerity, because if 50% of this information is correct, we need great minds on it. I would really like to know what geologist think about lighting scared Mars

@@vip11abc well anyone who has actually looked into what we do and do not know of the channeled scablands and what evidence we have of the glacial lake floods, not just glacial lake Misoulla btw, that tells us the were in excess of 40 floods into the region. We can even track the deposits laid down to their source. What we do know is there is 0 evidence in the scablands of an impact flood. None. Randals speculation is NOT evidence. Did you see him trying to shoehorn the Hiawatha Crater.to the hypothesised Younger Dryas impact? I sure did. He jumped all over that news story. Well guess what? New data has come in and it is dated at 50,000+ years old. Impact specialists and even Anthony Zamora have stated this impact is most certainly PRE-ICE AGE. Believe me, Randall and Graham had me interested in their hypothesis and I was much like you. But then when they started straying into science I know and am familiar with I started to see how much bullshitery and misinformation these 2 put out. Believing in a possibility is not a bad thing, I still believe a Younger Dryas impact could be possible and It's the reason there is still debate on the subject, but to flat out ignore or lie about the science to fit your hypothesis to SELL BOOKS AND LECTURES is nothing more than being a snake oil salesman. Btw. Randall Carlson has not 'walked the scablands for 25 years'. Randall is an Architect, not a geologist. He has never picked up a rock hammer in the area, he has no peer reviewed studies in the region and he has contributed nothing to advancing scientific knowledge of it's formation. None. Being a 'tourist' and actually going into the field to collect data are 2 completely different things.

No doubt, Carlson says the same in the opposite direction just compelling as can be, combined with what the ancient archetypes types that the Thunderbolts project get into in symbols of an alien sky, the story unfolds so logically, I ask myself do I believe my lying "untrained eye" or not, who knows? have you seen the vids I talked about? The stick man archetype with the circles around the waist? I really think their on to something, are they on the wrong track? maybe? but if they are correct it could completely rewrite the history we know Extremely entertaining at the very least, don't blame me if your head explodes. . p.s. font turn red on my screen, cant turn off, not yelling at you
