Everytime you thought Gaffney was out of it, they made a play to get back in the game! Mad respect to them for not giving up.. great game

Congratulations Indians I live in Cincinnati but my grandma is Josephine Gaffney she from Gaffney S.C. my cousin Shelton Gaffney played for the in the early 2000s and went on to play at Western Carolina..... I remember going to Gaffney games when we visited during Thanksgiving!!!! I love Gaffney my roots from Gaffney

I'm impressed by the QUALITY of players SC produces each year, not a big HS football state like Tx or Cali, yet their players are top shelf athletes, pretty impressive for a "smaller" state.

Gaffneys history is crazy man… they been coming to Summerville and Fort Dorchester for YEARSSSS. Dutch Fork has gotten us too.. good program

#8 for Dutch Fork is a baller, should’ve been looking for him wayyyy before 4th and long at the end! #29 for DF made several plays as well on D. #1 for Gaffney had a big time game as well…QBs have nothing to hang their heads about.

As a member of the tl hanna varsity team we faced Gaffney in the semis and it was rough they were just running through us so I felt confident picking them over Dutchfork still 2 amazing teams of sc clashing it was gone be fire regardless

Man high school uniforms are SO much better than they were back when I played in the late 90’s, early 00’s. And the pads are so much more sleek and minimalist. I would’ve been even faster than I was if we had this much less weight on me to carry around. Anybody who played back then knows what I’m talking about lol.

My school had hand me down jerseys from 20 years ago and as a DB I had o line shoulder pads and thigh pads. Trying to reach above your head with both hands to fully extend wasn't possible.

@@Dwatts24111 I know exactly what you mean lolol. The amount of sleeve on the jerseys that used to hang down over the shoulder pads was longer back then. So in order to get the "short look" like these guys have, we used to have to twist the loose fabric as tight as it would go, fasten rubber bands around the twisted up part to keep it in place, then tuck that up under the armpit lol.

Thank God the crowd was there to let me know when a big play happened, because trying to watch a game from this angle was the worst.

I usually just watch under the radar but I been following gaffey on this trip, dope video fam had to subscribe

The High School League claims it costs too much to rent those stadiums for the games. Just like the trophies are a joke now. Why not just hand them a certificate printed off the computer the week before. I bet the salaries in Columbia haven't gone down any! That was the reward for playing for State, letting the young men play in a big stadium and get that experience. I suppose 50+ years of tradition doesn't matter to the bottom line. It's a shame that Gaffney players had to play in a stadium that was smaller than their own.

Gaffney supposed to be so proud and supportive of their athletic teams but no one ever leaves Gaffney and does anything great in sports after high school with so many championships there should be a lot more athletes going to the next level achieving greatness but it's rare for anyone from there to be great in college sports or professional

Just to name a few: Sidney Rice, Dominique Stevenson, Jeff Colmen, Quinshad Davis, Bradshaw Littlejohn, Roger McKintosh, Jeff Littlejohn, just to name a few. 3 had real NFL careers, 4 broke records for their college, 3 National Champions in college.

How can you let these kids play a STATE FINAL in a high school stadium? Pennsylvania plays their WPIAL finals at Heinz Field. I know Texas does the same at Cowboy Stadium. These administrators need to start putting all of that $ they're making into these boys high school experience.

This is actually a college stadium but I think it has something to do with money because a couple years ago they used to play in South Carolina. I think there trying to get back to that.
