Nothing new on this build for 6 months. Any future plans for the D890R ?

I've really been enjoying this series. You've hinted at an alternative fueling/tuning solution in a previous video. PCV does nothing for closed loop trims, so what other aftermarket were you thinking? I've been eyeballing the Rapid Bike system, although there is very limited info out there for this platform. Would love to see how it works out!

You can still pull the mirrors, airbox, turn signals, bar ends, emissions systems.

SuperSprox has an option for custom sprockets, you tell them the tooth count, color, bcd and center hole Ø and they'll make it

Looking at getting some for my triumph. Can the TPMS system still work with these rims?

The wheels use a standard 8mm valve stem. You would likely need an adapter of some kind.

No, lights are good.

Correct if I'm wrong, but the countersunk holes on the sprocket seem like a terrible idea. The engine torque will put a lot of pressure on the threads since it's actually applying radial forces on the bolt head rather than axial forces on the bolt body.

We don’t love it, but they are a necessary evil in this case. They’re also common place on plenty of adventure, off road, motocross, supermoto applications. Correct torque is absolutely vital - and it’s a lot!

Was that 363lbs with a full tank of fuel? I think it was (I know you have mentioned it in previous videos before) just wanted to ask to be sure though. Awesome job on the build bro! Makes me think about swapping my Tuono Factory for the 890 R lol

I'm not sure if you're still considering this, but as someone who owns a 2017 Tuono Factory, and a 2021 Duke 890 R, I would say definitely test ride the Duke extensively before you go for the swap. While the 890 feels much less serious to hop on and go somewhere which makes it appealing, there are crazy night and day in all aspects differences of the bikes. The Tuono is a truely special bike to give up!😊

Yeah my 2022 came with a knuckle that replaces the pillow footpeg and holds the exhaust in place.......you should have got one with the bike

Just 5 pounds saved from the rear wheel? Is it really worth it knowing how much those carb wheels cost

Would really help if you told us how much these upgrades cost.

180 is a terrible option for a 6.0 rear wheel. 190/60 is our smallest option we’d consider.

7 months later: I know the dakar guys just move the rear abs sensor to the front. Effectively turning off abs forever
