It would be a sweet moment but they basically manipulated Jackson into feeling sad and depressed just to get this tearful reunion. I’m sure he missed his family but they kept tricking him into thinking his family would come and laughing causing him to be extra emotional. When I think about that I feel extra angry at how exploitative it is. Jackson’s family is wealthy enough and HK is relatively close to Korea. Why weren’t they allowed to visit him sometimes when the cameras are off?.

Jackson is probably the most purest, kind, and down to earth person in the Kpop industry, and this is just my opinion. I only have good things to say about him. Everybody truly needs a friend just like Jackson.

For those wondering about the context, basically this was a reality show (Roomate season 2) where celebrities lived together. At this time GOT7 was still a rookie group so they had a lot of schedules and not much free time, so Jackson haven't seen his parents (that lived in Hong Kong) in over two years. So in the Christmas episode they made a special surprise for Jackson and brought his parents to Korea ^^

even they are in next room the tears form automatically it's the connection of parents and children and our pain is small compared to the people who lost their parents or living far away

Watching everyone else's reactions and emotions, I can tell they were ALL missing someone important to them - their parents, grandparents or other loved ones - when they saw Jackson's reunion with his mom and dad. Incredibly touching.

I always come back to this video and always cry. Sometimes people idolize singers/actors, but theyre regular people, they sacrifice so much for their craft, like being away from their families. I hope Jackson doesnt have to sacrifice so much nowadays and lives a happy life. He deserves it.
